A CLOCK HEART

May 17th – Capsule 17

TOPIC: A CLOCK HEART

BIBLE TEXT: Therefore his sisters went unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick . . . . he said, this sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God . . . . then when Jesus came he found that he had lain in the grave four days already – John 11:3-4&17

Believers today have a clock heart, we always want things done fast and for it to go our way, which is not bad, I also desire such but we must understand that the ways of our Heavenly Father are different from ours. Mary and Martha worked with a clock heart in John 11, their brother, a true christian, not only that, but a ‘beloved’ of Christ personally. With a close relationship yet the Lord Jesus Christ waited two more days after he heard their prayer request.
Sometimes we are too quick to judge the Lord when we don’t receive that gift, that request or that expectation, as children of God when we pray, this doesn’t mean Our Father did not hear us, rather He is planning a grand entrance to make His Children a wonder unto many.

The striking question here is, will you wait for His response or will you hurry and kill that prayer with doubt, frustration and desperation – the ways of the flesh? They buried Lazarus before Christ came to give life, healing and strength. Don’t set a timer for God, time works for God and not God for time. He has heard you and He is coming with the ripe answers, cheer up and trust in the Lord.

Prayer: Lord Jesus I trust you and will never again work with a clock heart on your promises, help me to wait prayerfully and faithfully on you in Jesus name.

Insight: Let go of your clock thoughts and timing for God's blessings and see the wonders of Christ in your life.

DO TI NOW

May 11th – Capsule 11 TOPIC : DO IT NOW BIBLE TEXT : Redeeming the time, because the days are evil – Ephesians 5 vs. 16 How many times have you said, “I will do it tomorrow?” sometimes you put somethings off because you don’t think you know enough, can’t do it well enough. The fact is, there is no magic age at which excellence emerges and quality suddenly surfaces. Thomas Jefferson was 33 when he drafted the Declaration of Independence. Charles Dickens was 24 when he began his Pickwick Papers, and 25 when he wrote Oliver Twist. Newton was 24 when he formulated The Law of Gravity. A second danger is to think that creativity and invention belong to the young. Not so! Emmanuel Kant wrote his finest philosophical work at age 74. Verdi at 80 produced crossing the Bar, and Michelangelo completed his greatest work at 87, Moses was 80 when he led God’s people out of Egypt and 120 when he got to Canaan. Seize the day! Redeem the new moments of your life. Because the time and age ...

Capsule One - (WHAT DO YOU WANT SO BADLY?)

May 1st – Capsule 1 TOPIC: WHAT DO YOU WANT SO BADLY? BIBLE TEXT: Let us lay aside every weight and sin which easily beset us … Hebrews 12 vs. 1 You will start getting well when getting well is what matters most to you. Let your desperation drive you beyond concern about the opinions of others. As long as you are more conscious of people than you are of God, you will never get what you need. When Hannah, Samuel’s mother, prayed in the temple, there was so much locked inside her that when she began to pray and pour her heart out, Eli thought she was drunk (see 1 Samuel 1 vs. 13). God is raising up people who will confound us – radical Christians. Like those on the day of Pentecost, they were hungry for God. They will raise the roof to get to Jesus. They had carefully laid plans, and cry like blind Bartimaeus, “Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me” (Mark 10 vs. 47). When you are blind, all that matters is receiving your sight. When it looks like there’s no way out fo...

NOW

Date 📅 18th October, 2022 Topic NOW Living Scripture Hebrews 11:1,7 KJV Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [7] By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Now we begin to walk in the ways of faith and truth as our fathers in faith and mighty men of old and just as they witnessed the glory of God first hand so shall we if we act now. The perfect example is Noah and the ark, a man of grace and wisdom. The world was stained with disobedience, sinful ways and thick immoralities. And God decided to wipe the inhabitants of the earth with a great flood such as have never been before and even after. The heavens where ready to open the flood gates and the earth to let out her waters. When God spoke to Noah, he acted immediately and finished the ark on time and he eva...
