DATE : OCTOBER 30th, 2021 TOPIC : MANY SPARROWS BIBLE TEXT : “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” - Luke 12:6-7 Have you ever really looked at a sparrow? They are small, insignificant birds. They don’t have flashy colors. They don’t sing loudly. They eat seeds and small insects. Sparrows are seemingly unimportant creatures, and yet not one of them is forgotten by God. In Matthew 10, Jesus tells us that not one sparrow will fall to the ground outside of our Father’s care (see vs. 29-30). If God cares for the sparrows this much, how much more does he care for us? He made human beings last, in his own image, and put us in charge of the earth. We are of tremendous value to God. God knows our every thought, our every feeling.
