Finishing Strong

DATE   30th June, 2023 TOPIC Finishing Strong (With godly Patience) LIVING SCRIPTURE Isaiah 40:31 KJV But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. As children of God we need godly patience in order to finish strong in life, through stages and pursuits. Staying strong and courageous requires patience and trust in the Lord even when it doesn't look like what we are expecting or have planned. Constant seeking through the scripture helps to renew our strength and confidence while we wait for the move of God in our lives.  We see our Lord Jesus Christ this morning as an example in Hebrews 12:2 KJV Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. He patiently endured the cross he carried for us to have the joy of th...

Inside Jesus

DATE 28th June, 2023 TOPIC Inside Jesus LIVING SCRIPTURE John 15:4 KJV Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. Inside Jesus Christ the Lamb of God is where we must dwell. Just like a baby is carried in the womb of her mother for months, so must all God's children follow. The anchor scripture reveals that we must abide inside the cleft or riven side of Jesus Christ just as He also dwells inside us. No child of God or minister should ever think that he or she is sufficient or has attained a certain height in Christ Jesus to stand alone or even abide by themselves.  Our productivity of bearing fruits in this world either by evangelism, good deeds, love or any action can only be possible when we are intimate with Christ as He is with us. Without Christ Jesus inside us we cannot or it is impossible to grow spiritually and physically. Inside Christ Jesus contains all life's resources and...

Walking in His Shoes

DATE 26th June, 2023 TOPIC   Walking in His Shoes LIVING SCRIPTURE John 14:21 KJV He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Jesus Christ walked in His Father's shoes by listening and obeying every command of God in love. His daily dealings where rooted in the ways our Heavenly Father did and it became a habit for Jesus Christ to talk like God, walk like Him, pray like Him and love like He loves, that brought the expression of Walking in God's shoes. Aside Christ Jesus, we hardly see any man on earth that can do that successfully but now we can by the grace of God by simply walking in Christ's shoes. The reason Apostle Paul told his disciples this truth in 1 Corinthians 11:1 KJV Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ -  He was showing them whose shoes he was walking in. Whose footprints can men trace in our lives, hom...

When God Speaks

DATE 21st June, 2023 TOPIC When God Speaks LIVING SCRIPTURE Joshua 8:1 KJV And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land: The voice of the LORD indeed builds our strength and confidence not only in battle but also in everything we face and are faced with. When God Speaks, it will surely come to pass because His words are yes and Amen. Ai were a people so small but troubled Israel, this happened in the days of Joshua the servant of God. No nation dare to defeat them because God was with them and His words backed them up. But this small Ai ridiculed Israel because of the sin Achan committed and God's words ceased from backing them because of disobedience and iniquity. The voice of the LORD speaks over those who are obedient, loyal and submissive to His perfect will. And unknown to Joshua, he sent the people out t...

Follow Jesus

DATE 20th June, 2023 TOPIC Follow Jesus LIVING SCRIPTURE John 10:4 KJV And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. The man called Jesus Christ was and is an extraordinary leader and master but before he became our role model, Savior, mentor and Lord, he followed the voice of someone called "The Heavenly Father". Jesus Christ listens to only the leadership of God the Father and his ministry and destiny became glorious. Likewise mankind we need to follow Jesus Christ because he is the way we are looking for and the way we don't know, the truth needed and the truth of God, the life of peace and righteousness and eternal life. Following Jesus Christ is following our Heavenly Father. Refusing to listen to him is refusing to listen to the LORD. Jesus Christ has never mislead anyone even from Genesis till date, all who seek him finds him and all who listens to him receives everlasting life. The LORD spoke to J...

Before the Throne

DATE June 17th, 2023 TOPIC Before the Throne LIVING SCRIPTURE Hebrews 4:16 KJV Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. The feet of Jesus Christ has been a place of grace and victory for all who believes in Him. King David made a grave error as touching another man's wife and also in the coup and plot of her husband's demise. But he found mercy and grace because he ran to the feet of Christ and sought after God's only mercy and compassion upon his life and family. Likewise another mistake he did was transgression against God's direct command of not counting the children of Israel, which he did and faced God's wrath but pleaded for mercy and found it at the feet of Christ Jesus. What ever we face is not above Christ Jesus because all things in heaven and earth and under the earth are placed under the feet of Jesus Christ. And only those who come to his feet at the throne that receives the...

keepers

DATE 16th June, 2023 TOPIC Keepers  LIVING SCRIPTURE Psalm 18:20-21 KJV The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. [21] For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God. The Psalmist lived a life built around the divine presence of God. He sought the LORD graciously and was indeed blessed and honored by the Lord according to his obedience and diligence service before the LORD. To be strong and courageous we need to be keepers of God's Word and doers of the same. Many are just following the train of church services and not fully maximizing the presence of God.  David was faced with different situations with king Saul but he kept himself from sinning against the anointed of God. He stored and treasured the word of God in his heart that will keep him away from the law of sin. We ought to store God's word in our hearts and meditate on them day and night. And the LORD rewarded hi...

The LORD'S Battle

DATE 15th June, 2023 TOPIC The LORD'S Battle! LIVING SCRIPTURE Psalm 68:1 KJV Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. Mankind has been fighting wrongly and only those in Christ Jesus, that are able to surrender all to the LORD, that will partake of this kind of glorious victory where God takes up the battle. A very good and clear example of what God can do when He takes up the battle is the war between King Jehoshaphat of Judah against the Ammonites and Moabites and Mount Seir and how the King led the people to seek the mercy of God and the LORD spoke and went ahead of them to battle against their foes: 2 Chronicles 20:21-24 KJV And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord ; for his mercy endureth for ever.  [22] And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the ...

Words of Peace

DATE 14th June, 2023 TOPIC Words of Peace LIVING SCRIPTURE John 8:10-11 KJV When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?  [11] She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. It was a normal day for Jesus Christ as he sat down for a cool breeze but not for a certain married woman who was the bait for another day for tempting Jesus. The Pharisees were relentless and set a trap for this woman who had no one to guide her nor the solution to her marital problems. She felt comfortable in a strangers arms and unknown to her it was a bundle of shame waiting for her and suddenly she was in their nets, eyes looking at her and fingers of accusations. She was brought before Jesus Christ who sat down as He taught the people. The only words that rang in her mind and hearts were filled with sorrows and unrest because she had missed it by falling f...

Jealous for You

DATE June 12, 2023 TOPIC Jealous for You LIVING SCRIPTURE Exodus 34:14 KJV For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: Our Heavenly Father is jealous for us in every aspect of life. He introduced Himself as a Jealous God, a lover with distinctive features made exclusively for His creations. The way and manner of care and love God has for us cannot be explained but seen through His actions and through the Bible. His kind of Jealous it is not wicked, it is not obsession and there is no darkness involved. But rather we see a compassionate God who has all and knows what we need and is ready to fulfill all our expectations. The children Israel gave God a hard time because they gave God 40-50% of their love while God gave them a 100% of His love. We see that this maths is not balanced as they wanted God to remain faithful on His path while they remained unfaithful and unfair to His demands and commands. In God's hands is everything that man...

Victory

DATE 3rd June, 2023 TOPIC Victory LIVING SCRIPTURE 2 Chronicles 20:20-22 KJV And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. [21] And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord ; for his mercy endureth for ever.  [22] And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. The victory King Jehoshaphat enjoyed because God's Word came to him and all of Judah. There was a battle ahead of Judah from the Moabites and the Ammonites who were physically strong and coming to destroy and to fight against...

Outside Holiness

DATE 31st May, 2023 TOPIC Outside Holiness LIVING SCRIPTURE Genesis 19:14 KJV And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law. Lot had been with Abraham for years, he was taught and trained by His uncle until he grew too big to serve and for counsel. Abraham loved peace so he gave Lot options to choose from since both of them are now equal in the eyes of Lot. He chose the greener landscape between Sodom and Gomorrah and went on with His life until the angels came to destroy the land because of the multiple sins and abominations. And when Lot found mercy because of Abraham from the LORD he could not save any other person because he was outside Holiness.  The people had no righteous regards for him, neither did they believe his last minute preaching of salvation because he lived just like them, conformed to their ways and p...

Obedience

DATE 30th May, 2023 TOPIC Obedience LIVING SCRIPTURE Genesis 26:5 KJV Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. Obedience is a way to serve the LORD with none of our will and all of His will. Many before us have lived and served the LORD and few of them actually followed through obediently. Noah heard the voice of the LORD to build an Ark for the deliverance of mankind in his time which he did successfully. And his family and animals that also obeyed where saved. If Noah had delayed or rebelled against the LORD it would have been disastrous for them. We see Abraham who's walk with God was from scratch, no formal training or mentorship from any man but a heart of obedience unto the LORD to set a foundation for us to follow. Father Abraham succeeded in obeying the LORD even unto the request of a sacrifice of life. He staggered not at any of the commandments of God, rather he gave himself up to follow the LORD. Much more our L...

Stay with Jesus

DATE May 29th, 2023 TOPIC Stay with Jesus LIVING SCRIPTURE John 6:68-69 KJV Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.  [69] And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus said, "you shall know the truth, and the truth discovered, received and acted upon, shall make you free!" This is the truth Himself revealed to those who accept Jesus Christ and His words of life. He taught this same truth and many where angry, others left Him, because they said it was too hard for them to believe, some it was too hard to do the truth because of the way of the world that they are used to and the doctrines of men. Many left Jesus Christ that day, but here's the truth, He was unbothered by their actions and would quickly turn to his 12 disciples and ask if they'll go too! But they chose to stay with Jesus because eternity and eternal life is He who spoke the Truth. Don't just attend ch...

There's Room for everyone in Jesus

DATE May 26th, 2023 TOPIC There's Room for everyone in Jesus LIVING SCRIPTURE Joshua 6:23,25 KJV And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel.  [25] And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho. (Study likewise: Joshua 2:1-end to know what Rahab did despite her sins and nature of work) Rahab lived a life she knew by harlotry just to meet ends and to fend for her family in a city filled with corruption and injustice. No one to preach righteousness nor the path of God to her until those two spies entered Jericho! Though she heard rumors but no real encounter. Like Rahab, there are many in wrong situations, careers, and lifestyle that are seeking to kno...

Jesus calms the Storm

DATE May 25th, 2023 TOPIC Jesus calms the Storm LIVING SCRIPTURE Mark 4:39,41 KJV And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. [41] And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? Till date mankind and especially those in Christ are still living in fears. Like the disciples of Jesus Christ on the boat with Him and yet they were afraid of the storm. Many children of God often forget that Jesus Christ lives in their hearts and with them by His Spirit always. The storms of life will hit hard and be contrary against our progress and destiny but we should not forget that Jesus is LORD. When the disciples remembered whom they have, they cried out to Jesus who was even resting and unbothered by the storm. And when He woke up, he spoke to the situation and nature obeyed the master's voice. Jesus Christ has won the devil but because we ha...

God Is In control

DATE 24th May, 2023 TOPIC God Is In Control LIVING SCRIPTURE Psalm 24:1 KJV The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. On this wise the Psalmist began to meditate and it became clearer to him who owns the earth and it's inhabitants. He saw the wonders of God and the secrets to be searched out by kings. Despite walking through the valley of the shadow of death, which includes all the news on corruption, assassination, death, disasters, diseases, wars and many more things happening! God is still in control and if it were not so, the whole world would have been destroyed and mankind scarcely forgotten.  We thank God for been the creator and owner of the earth. But only those who believe in Christ Jesus are kept in the manner of Psalm 23, a table of victory, comfort, wealth, health and all the goodness of God set before his children right in the presence of their enemies. If the devil had control he would have scattered the table but h...

Carry Jesus with You

DATE May 20th, 2023 TOPIC Carry Jesus with You LIVING SCRIPTURE John 17:18 KJV As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. The message and the mandate that is universal for every child of God is to carry Jesus Christ in our hearts everywhere we go and where we live and work. It is not because we feel like it but because it is a command that Jesus has sent us out to represent the Father and that through our testimony many will come to the Father. When we go out each day and interact with the society whosoever we represent will automatically be whom the world will see in us. When we carry Jesus with us daily we are guaranteed of a lifestyle that men will see the glory of God in our lives when we speak wisdom. Jesus Christ sent us into the world to lead and that righteousness be seen in us. Let us not make the mistake of carrying wealth about alone, but also carry love! There's so much of Christ Jesus to reveal to the world but only few truly car...

Fear No Storm

DATE May 19th, 2023 TOPIC Fear No Storm LIVING SCRIPTURE Matthew 14:24-25 KJV But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. [25]And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.  [26] And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.  [27] But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. It comes to a point in our lives when the enemy rages against our progress and hits with divers kinds of contrary winds and storms of life. In this we are reminded that Jesus Christ ruled the storm, He specializes on walking on those things that scares mankind. Knowing that Jesus is in control at all times gives us peace when we dwell in the glorious covering of His love for His children. Each time we face such and remember who rules the storm, we suddenly loose the fears that gripped us for the faith that b...

Child of Honor

DATE 18th May, 2023 TOPIC Child of Honor LIVING SCRIPTURE Mark 1:11 KJV And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. A child of Honor is a child that brings joy to the parents and to the society at large and even to nations that hear of the testimony. This brings us to our Lord Jesus Christ in whom till date our Heavenly Father is still proud of for all he has done for the world. He would have stayed in Heaven and stay beautiful and praised but He obeyed the command of the Father to lay down His life for rejects, sinners, the abandoned, those without any hope in life and destiny and without direction into eternal life. Right from His early days of ministry he gave joy to the Father. Another man notable in such wise is Joseph the son of Jacob who was well behaved and received honor of a coat with many colors. God is still in the business of making honorable sons and daughters today. But we must follow in the footsteps of Christ Jesus th...
