THE OFFERING OF A REMORSEFUL SINNER

TOPIC: THE OFFERING OF A REMORSEFUL SINNER

BIBLE TEXT: And behold a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment – Luke 7 vs 37.

The ministry of Christ Jesus is a one of reconciliation and love to all sinners and saints. This particular sinful woman was well known through out the city for she had many friends in pleasure and sin. Right there in the city, salvation came to town and the Word through evangelism got to her palace and she prepared herself to meet this Jesus Christ who is called the Son of God, to surrender the most valuable thing she ever had and what led her into sin.

She chased money and wealth and got it, but had no peace and salvation. So she took an alabaster box of expensive oil and her body as a living sacrifice unto the Lord Jesus and He accepted her into God's kingdom and within a twinkle of an eye, all her sins, mistakes and past lifestyle were forgiven because she had faith in God to offer herself.

Before, she offered men herself (her body) and they misused her life, but now  Christ fixed all, and healed her completely. She stood at Christ's feet and washed his feet (and cried when she encountered the Word of God because of the truth) and used her hair to wipe his feet and kissed the feet as a sign of love, respect and remorse.

Many called her a sinner but did nothing than remind her of the state of sin, but Jesus turned her life around. He’s ready to listen to your sinful stories to give you a new beginning – 2 Corinthians 5 vs 17

Prayer: Lord I repent from all my sinful ways, please cleanse me and forgive all my sinful ways in Jesus name.

Insight: Run to Jesus Christ, He will never reject nor condemn you.

MARY, DID YOU KNOW?

Date - December 19th, 2021 Topic - MARY, DID YOU KNOW? Bible Text - But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” - Luke 1:30-31 If God had asked the women of Israel who wanted to be the mother of the Messiah, every one of them would have raised her hand. If they had known what that privilege would actually involve—becoming pregnant before marriage, enduring terrible gossip, watching helplessly as their Son was mocked, ridiculed, tortured and crucified—those hands would have come down in a hurry. Mary certainly didn’t volunteer for the job. And she was stunned to discover she’d been selected for such an important role. She handled the extraordinary situation with grace and humility. She asked one question to help her understand God’s plan, then agreed to it immediately. God has a plan for each of us. Ours may not be as earth-shattering as Mary’s. Ou...

NOW

Date ๐Ÿ“… 18th October, 2022 Topic NOW Living Scripture Hebrews 11:1,7 KJV Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [7] By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Now we begin to walk in the ways of faith and truth as our fathers in faith and mighty men of old and just as they witnessed the glory of God first hand so shall we if we act now. The perfect example is Noah and the ark, a man of grace and wisdom. The world was stained with disobedience, sinful ways and thick immoralities. And God decided to wipe the inhabitants of the earth with a great flood such as have never been before and even after. The heavens where ready to open the flood gates and the earth to let out her waters. When God spoke to Noah, he acted immediately and finished the ark on time and he eva...

DO TI NOW

May 11th – Capsule 11 TOPIC : DO IT NOW BIBLE TEXT : Redeeming the time, because the days are evil – Ephesians 5 vs. 16 How many times have you said, “I will do it tomorrow?” sometimes you put somethings off because you don’t think you know enough, can’t do it well enough. The fact is, there is no magic age at which excellence emerges and quality suddenly surfaces. Thomas Jefferson was 33 when he drafted the Declaration of Independence. Charles Dickens was 24 when he began his Pickwick Papers, and 25 when he wrote Oliver Twist. Newton was 24 when he formulated The Law of Gravity. A second danger is to think that creativity and invention belong to the young. Not so! Emmanuel Kant wrote his finest philosophical work at age 74. Verdi at 80 produced crossing the Bar, and Michelangelo completed his greatest work at 87, Moses was 80 when he led God’s people out of Egypt and 120 when he got to Canaan. Seize the day! Redeem the new moments of your life. Because the time and age ...
