DON'T STOP PRAYING

JUNE 7TH – CAPSULE 7

TOPIC: DON'T STOP PRAYING

BIBLE TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 12 VS 23 – Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you. But I will teach you the good and the right way.

Prayer is a very essential tool in our everyday lives as Christians. We need to activate a praying heart wherever we go, for it is the will of God for us to live by and to walk in. The Bible records the lifestyles and patterns of various praying men and women of God who through their consistency received answers from the Lord at all times.

The book of James 5 vs 16b reveals this much when we pray continuously. The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much. Indeed it accomplishes much in various areas we channel them to. Don’t stop praying for yourself, your family, your career, your education, your marriage, the church, those God place under your care and those God place above you. 1 Thessalonians 5 vs 17 also sounds it clear – ‘pray without ceasing (Be consistent in prayers)’.

Prophet Samuel revealed that when we fail to pray for others we have sinned against God. Christ instructs us to pray also for our enemies. Men will disobey, disrespect and insult you as they do to God, but it is not in our hands to determine their fate but we are all instructed to interceded on their behalf with hope of their turnaround. When we stop praying for such individuals and they die in sin, God will hold us responsible for their deaths, because we disobeyed His direct commands.

Prayer: Lord, give unto me the grace to pray without ceasing in Jesus name.

Insight: Don’t stop praying, instead increase your hours of prayers in love. Your prayer might save one soul and a million tomorrow (generations).

DO TI NOW

May 11th – Capsule 11 TOPIC : DO IT NOW BIBLE TEXT : Redeeming the time, because the days are evil – Ephesians 5 vs. 16 How many times have you said, “I will do it tomorrow?” sometimes you put somethings off because you don’t think you know enough, can’t do it well enough. The fact is, there is no magic age at which excellence emerges and quality suddenly surfaces. Thomas Jefferson was 33 when he drafted the Declaration of Independence. Charles Dickens was 24 when he began his Pickwick Papers, and 25 when he wrote Oliver Twist. Newton was 24 when he formulated The Law of Gravity. A second danger is to think that creativity and invention belong to the young. Not so! Emmanuel Kant wrote his finest philosophical work at age 74. Verdi at 80 produced crossing the Bar, and Michelangelo completed his greatest work at 87, Moses was 80 when he led God’s people out of Egypt and 120 when he got to Canaan. Seize the day! Redeem the new moments of your life. Because the time and age ...

Capsule One - (WHAT DO YOU WANT SO BADLY?)

May 1st – Capsule 1 TOPIC: WHAT DO YOU WANT SO BADLY? BIBLE TEXT: Let us lay aside every weight and sin which easily beset us … Hebrews 12 vs. 1 You will start getting well when getting well is what matters most to you. Let your desperation drive you beyond concern about the opinions of others. As long as you are more conscious of people than you are of God, you will never get what you need. When Hannah, Samuel’s mother, prayed in the temple, there was so much locked inside her that when she began to pray and pour her heart out, Eli thought she was drunk (see 1 Samuel 1 vs. 13). God is raising up people who will confound us – radical Christians. Like those on the day of Pentecost, they were hungry for God. They will raise the roof to get to Jesus. They had carefully laid plans, and cry like blind Bartimaeus, “Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me” (Mark 10 vs. 47). When you are blind, all that matters is receiving your sight. When it looks like there’s no way out fo...

NOW

Date 📅 18th October, 2022 Topic NOW Living Scripture Hebrews 11:1,7 KJV Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [7] By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Now we begin to walk in the ways of faith and truth as our fathers in faith and mighty men of old and just as they witnessed the glory of God first hand so shall we if we act now. The perfect example is Noah and the ark, a man of grace and wisdom. The world was stained with disobedience, sinful ways and thick immoralities. And God decided to wipe the inhabitants of the earth with a great flood such as have never been before and even after. The heavens where ready to open the flood gates and the earth to let out her waters. When God spoke to Noah, he acted immediately and finished the ark on time and he eva...
