WHERE/WHOM DO YOU PUT YOUR TRUST? (IN SEEKING ETERNITY)

JUNE 29TH – CAPSULE 29

TOPIC: WHERE/WHOM DO YOU PUT YOUR TRUST? (IN SEEKING ETERNITY)

BIBLE TEXT: PSALM 20 VS 7 – Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD, our God.

Trust is a simple word with great depths. To trust is to have a firm belief, in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something. The psalmist via meditation and by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit remembered when the Egyptians trusted in their calvary and troops and how they all drowned in the red sea. And how Israel trusted the Lord and He gave them victories and the promise land. This shows and instructs men on whom to trust.

Because who you trust or what you put your trust in will determine how far you go and the results of your destiny. The young man that approached Jesus Christ in Mark 10 vs 17-25 came to Him to seek eternal life and when he heard the truth he could not trust the word of God anymore because it was not convenient for him. He expected only the ten commandments and not the instructions that came directly from Christ. And he went away from Christ grieved (with intense sorrow). This man had sold his soul to his wealth and earthly possessions that his trust was on his riches. Christ  revealed this truth to his disciples in Mark 10 vs 24. This revelation shows the way to eternal life is to trust in Christ and obey every instruction and commands given to you.

When faced with difficulties will you remember the Lord first? or will you put trust in your wealth? Or in man? The psalmist said; we will remember the name of the LORD, our God.

Prayer: Lord, I put my trust in your words teach me to know you more in Jesus name.

Insight: When faced with all manner of situations, remember the Lord your God.

NEITHER HEIGHT NOR DEPTH

Date - December 28th, 2021 Topic - NEITHER HEIGHT NOR DEPTH Bible Text - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39 Your parents love you. You may be able to do something that makes them angry, but you will never be able to do anything that makes them stop loving you. Try to imagine this kind of love and then multiply it by infinity. That’s the love that Jesus has for you. That’s the love that God has for you. God made you. He loved you enough to create you. He loved you enough to give you free will. Then he loved you enough to give you his Son. He loved you enough to forgive you for turning away from him. This is an impossible love! This is a love that we may never understand. But we don’t have to understand it. We just have to a...

Breakfast with Jesus

DATE 24th June, 2023 TOPIC Breakfast with Jesus LIVING SCRIPTURE Psalm 65:4 KJV Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. The Psalmist was a peculiar man and one that feared the LORD and walked in the paths of righteousness. In his meditation and Psalms, he learnt to dine with Jesus Christ early and through Psalms, from the 63rd to the 66th, he found a way to breakfast with Jesus. The first contact we should have everyday is Jesus Christ, to receive of His glorious satisfaction early, contentment and to be filled with the goodness and mercy He gives His children daily. When a child eats with his parents there's that joy and peace within, such comfort and full assurance. Jesus Christ always ate with our Heavenly Father while He was here on earth, He sought after the LORD daily and was satisfied with the glory and goodness of the Father. Each...

Forgiveness of Sins

DATE - April 7th, 2022 TOPIC - Forgiveness of Sins BIBLE TEXT - Acts 5:31 AMP God exalted Him to His right hand as Prince and Savior and Deliverer, in order to grant repentance to Israel, and [to grant] forgiveness of sins. Apostle Peter stood tall before the council (Sanhedrin, Jewish High Court) to speak with boldness about a God who Saves and sets free any sinner from the power of sin. As a man who has been shown mercy though a man once filled with sinful ways, the Holy Spirit quickened him through his personal testimony of experiencing true forgiveness of sins before the Jewish High Court. Peter was a local fisherman with no knowledge of the gospel truth, who lived as he pleased. Until he encountered Jesus when Christ was walking by the sea of Galilee and he spotted Simon Peter who was in his boat struggling to catch a few fishes for days. Like many out there today who are living in sin and still struggling to make ends meet, Jesus is passing through that street, area...
