IMPATIENCE ( A SPIRITUAL WASTER)

JULY 28th – CAPSULE 28

TOPIC: IMPATIENCE ( A SPIRITUAL WASTER)

BIBLE TEXT: LUKE 15vs12-13 – And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

A prodigal act is a wasteful spirit which comes to challenge the fruit of patience in the life of a believer. Impatience offers you alternatives to divert you from the course of the spirit and from your progress and maturity in the things of God. The younger son of the man was enticed by the spirit of impatience after showing him all the wealth and things he could get from his father’s possession.

The young man lacked patience and walked in the deceit of impatience and requested for what he could not control or handle at the time of request. Because it was not time for his manifestation. And he wasted his substance so fast that poverty became his clothing.

King Saul was also impatient and concluded that prophet Samuel was a late comer and he decided to enter the office of a prophet that he was not called into and he wasted many substances (1 Samuel 13vs8-14). As a child of God we must seek grace to walk in patience by craving for the fruits of the spirit and praying for endurance, perseverance and Godly patience.

Prayer: Help me Father to do away/cast out every impatient spirit and works of the flesh wasting away virtues in my life.

Insight: An impatient man is a spiritual waster.

THINKING GOD’S WAY

JULY 9TH – CAPSULE 9  TOPIC: THINKING GOD’S WAY  BIBLE TEXT: EPHESIANS 4VS23 – Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. How you process information and arrive at conclusions must always be subject to the will of God. Listen, “……….be made new in the attitude of your minds”. When you first start thinking Gods way, it will feel strange to you. It may even feel like a “put-on”. But it’s not. It works like this: you have to  (a). Practice being nice until you automatically become nice.  (b). Practice going to church on Sunday, until going anywhere else seems strange to you.  (c). Practice giving to God until it be comes as natural to you as shopping at the mall.  (d). Practice speaking the truth until even the smallest lie tastes bad in your mouth.  (e). Practice speaking kindness until every cynical, negative word is purged from your vocabulary. Its all a matter of practice! But you ask, “ isn’t that hypocritical – feeling one way and speaking an...

The Narrow Path

DATE : September 12, 2021 TOPIC : The Narrow Path BIBLE TEXT: Matthew 7v13&14 – Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. The road to eternity is a narrow path, with a single choice. There are no alternatives into eternity. It is either you walk through the narrow way into heaven or you follow the broad path that leads men (souls) to hell fire. God sent His only Son to die for mankind, creating the way, the truth and the life, to all who believe in Christ Jesus. It is either you make a choice to follow Jesus or you walk straight into hell. Many are searching for this path in the wrong direction, places, traditions, customs, beliefs and religions but cannot find it there. Only those that hear about the Kingdom of Heaven coming soon and believe in Jesus Christ shal...

IT RUBS OFF

AUGUST 9th - CAPSULE 9 TOPIC: IT RUBS OFF BIBLE TEXT: Exodus 34 vs. 29 – His face glowed from being in the presence of God. You can only talk convincingly about the God you know, the one you’ve spent time with. Any other God belongs in a theology book, and you will have a hard time selling Him. When Moses came down from the mountain, his face shone. He had been in God’s presence, and when you’ve been there it shows in the way you look, the way you walk and talk, the way you treat your family, the way you spend your money and the way you respond to hurting people. It rubs off!   Paul Cain says “most of us are as close to God as we want to be”. Think about it “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you” (James 4 vs. 8). How could you possibly be the same when you’ve been with Him? He transforms everything He touches. Listen – He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91 vs. 1). He didn’t say “visit” or...
