JUST BE YOURSELF

JULY 10TH – CAPSULE 10

TOPIC: JUST BE YOURSELF

BIBLE TEXT: John 3vs27 – A man must be content to receive the gift which is given to him from heaven. [AMP]

Have you ever considered how much “they” control your life! How often have you said “well, you know what they say?” You see, “they” set the standard, and we wear it…. drive it…… or do it! And while that may be fine in some area, its not when it comes to your life’s direction. Jesus said, “if the son…..[makes you free men]….. you are…….unquestionably free” [John 8:36 AMP].

That means:
(1). Free from the pressure of other’s expectations
(2). Free to be who God has called you to be;
(3). Free to look to Him for answers instead of running to other people.

A man must be content to receive the gift which is given from heaven. A man because of his background he struggled with insecurity. He was competitive, he kept comparing himself to others, he was jealous of their possessions, abilities, and accomplishments, he tried to keep up with certain people – or to be like them. As a result, he was constantly frustrated because he was operating outside of what God had called him to be. In other words, he wasn’t being himself.

When I finally realized that I could be who God  had ordained me to be, I began to say, “I am who I am, I can’t be anything other than who God has called me to be. So I am going to concentrate on being the best “me” that I can be.

Prayer: Lord, teach me to be myself

Insight: Just be who God called you to be.

THINKING GOD’S WAY

JULY 9TH – CAPSULE 9  TOPIC: THINKING GOD’S WAY  BIBLE TEXT: EPHESIANS 4VS23 – Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. How you process information and arrive at conclusions must always be subject to the will of God. Listen, “……….be made new in the attitude of your minds”. When you first start thinking Gods way, it will feel strange to you. It may even feel like a “put-on”. But it’s not. It works like this: you have to  (a). Practice being nice until you automatically become nice.  (b). Practice going to church on Sunday, until going anywhere else seems strange to you.  (c). Practice giving to God until it be comes as natural to you as shopping at the mall.  (d). Practice speaking the truth until even the smallest lie tastes bad in your mouth.  (e). Practice speaking kindness until every cynical, negative word is purged from your vocabulary. Its all a matter of practice! But you ask, “ isn’t that hypocritical – feeling one way and speaking an...

The Narrow Path

DATE : September 12, 2021 TOPIC : The Narrow Path BIBLE TEXT: Matthew 7v13&14 – Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. The road to eternity is a narrow path, with a single choice. There are no alternatives into eternity. It is either you walk through the narrow way into heaven or you follow the broad path that leads men (souls) to hell fire. God sent His only Son to die for mankind, creating the way, the truth and the life, to all who believe in Christ Jesus. It is either you make a choice to follow Jesus or you walk straight into hell. Many are searching for this path in the wrong direction, places, traditions, customs, beliefs and religions but cannot find it there. Only those that hear about the Kingdom of Heaven coming soon and believe in Jesus Christ shal...

IT RUBS OFF

AUGUST 9th - CAPSULE 9 TOPIC: IT RUBS OFF BIBLE TEXT: Exodus 34 vs. 29 – His face glowed from being in the presence of God. You can only talk convincingly about the God you know, the one you’ve spent time with. Any other God belongs in a theology book, and you will have a hard time selling Him. When Moses came down from the mountain, his face shone. He had been in God’s presence, and when you’ve been there it shows in the way you look, the way you walk and talk, the way you treat your family, the way you spend your money and the way you respond to hurting people. It rubs off!   Paul Cain says “most of us are as close to God as we want to be”. Think about it “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you” (James 4 vs. 8). How could you possibly be the same when you’ve been with Him? He transforms everything He touches. Listen – He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91 vs. 1). He didn’t say “visit” or...
