TOPIC: IT RUBS OFF

BIBLE TEXT: Exodus 34 vs. 29 – His face glowed from being in the presence of God.


You can only talk convincingly about the God you know, the one you’ve spent time with. Any other God belongs in a theology book, and you will have a hard time selling Him. When Moses came down from the mountain, his face shone. He had been in God’s presence, and when you’ve been there it shows in the way you look, the way you walk and talk, the way you treat your family, the way you spend your money and the way you respond to hurting people. It rubs off!
 
Paul Cain says “most of us are as close to God as we want to be”. Think about it “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you” (James 4 vs. 8). How could you possibly be the same when you’ve been with Him? He transforms everything He touches. Listen – He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91 vs. 1). He didn’t say “visit” or “drop in if you have time”, He said “dwell”. Take up residence, Move in and set up a house. It is all about your desire. David said, “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after” (Psalm 27 vs. 4)


Prayer: Lord, let there be transformation in my life and everything that needs your touch in my life in Jesus name.

Insight: Today, make up your mind to rearrange things in your life, so that you can spend more time in His presence. If you do, it will show, because it rubs off!

As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. Inside Jesus Christ the Lamb of God is where we must dwell. Just like a baby is carried in the womb of her mother for months, so must all God's children follow. The anchor scripture reveals that we must abide inside the cleft or riven side of Jesus Christ just as He also dwells inside us. No child of God or minister should ever think that he or she is sufficient or has attained a certain height in Christ Jesus to stand alone or even abide by themselves.  Our productivity of bearing fruits in this world either by evangelism, good deeds, love or any action can only be possible when we are intimate with Christ as He is with us.
