TOPIC: THE WISDOM TO WIN SOULS

BIBLE TEXT: Proverbs 11 vs. 30 – He that winneth soul is wise.

If you want to win someone to Christ today, use wisdom, especially in these 3 areas;

1. Don’t assume because they are raised in church that they understand; or because you’ve ‘lived the life’ before them, that they will get it by osmosis. Listen, “How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?” (Romans 10 vs. 14 NIV). Share your testimony – the short version. Forget the good advice, just give them the good news!

2. As much as you would like to close the deal right then, sometimes you have to sow the seed, and leave the rest to the Lord of the Harvest. Don’t try to corner them into praying the sinner’s prayer. Share the Word, leave the door open and trust the God who said, “I am watching over my Word to perform it” (Jeremiah 1 vs. 12).

3. When God speaks to you don’t out it off. R. A. Torrey had an experience that totally changed his attitude towards “soul-winning”. While eating in a restaurant with some friends, God impressed him to talk to the waiter about his soul. But he ignored it. An hour later, when the waiter didn’t return, Torrey inquired about him. The manager replied, “We just found him dead in the back of the restaurant. He hanged himself”. He committed suicide during the meal!

Prayer: Lord, let soul winning be my priority.

Insight: Remember when God leads you to speak to someone – do it! You may not get another opportunity.

Many are searching for this path in the wrong direction, places, traditions, customs, beliefs and religions but cannot find it there. IT RUBS OFF

AUGUST 9th - CAPSULE 9 TOPIC: IT RUBS OFF BIBLE TEXT: Exodus 34 vs. 29 – His face glowed from being in the presence of God. You can only talk convincingly about the God you know, the one you’ve spent time with. Any other God belongs in a theology book, and you will have a hard time selling Him. When Moses came down from the mountain, his face shone. He had been in God’s presence, and when you’ve been there it shows in the way you look, the way you walk and talk, the way you treat your family, the way you spend your money and the way you respond to hurting people. It rubs off! Paul Cain says “most of us are as close to God as we want to be”. Think about it “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you” (James 4 vs. 8). How could you possibly be the same when you’ve been with Him? He transforms everything He touches. DATE 📅 19th September, 2022 TOPIC The Good Slow LIVING SCRIPTURE Habakkuk 2:3 KJV For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. A mango tree starts from a seed planted in the soil, from a mango fruit. It usually takes weeks or sometimes days for the leaves to grow or sprout and then it takes years before it can produce those edible mango fruits which we all like to chew. Likewise a young child cannot start behaving like a grown man or handling responsibilities automatically. Just like the fruits that once started as a seed, so is the LORD'S work everyday for His children if only we believe that it is settled.
