COMPASSIONATE LOVE

DATE: OCTOBER 2ND 2021

TOPIC: COMPASSIONATE LOVE

BIBLE TEXT: LUKE 7:13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, “weep not”.

There lived a certain widow in the city Nain [a place of beauty and pleasantness] yet she had lost her husband and now her only son, while sorrow and sadness soaked her atmosphere. It was the burial day, and many mourned for the loss of her son, as they carried out his dead body reaching the city gates. There they were graced to encounter the resurrection and life himself near the gates. And when Jesus saw her, he was moved with compassion, knowing that she had lost so much. He spoke to the woman words of life and healing, he said; “Weep not” as the scripture says in Psalm 107:20 “…he sent forth his words to heal and deliver them from their destructions”.

The next step he took was to stop the carriage, heading to the grave. Then Jesus said, “Young man I say unto thee, Arise!” and he that was dead sat up and began to speak. When the compassionate love of God come upon you, beauty and pleasantness will be restored back into your life. Jesus called back the spirit of the young man, which means his life was cut short for the amusement of the devil. But the compassionate love of Christ shown to her brought back restoration and blessings. As children of God we are well favored to have the LORD as our Father. Let us also be examples of God’s love and kindness towards one another.

Prayer – Heavenly Father, please shower your compassionate love on me and my family in Jesus name.

Insight – His compassion (loving kindness) faileth not.

MARY, DID YOU KNOW?

Date - December 19th, 2021 Topic - MARY, DID YOU KNOW? Bible Text - But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” - Luke 1:30-31 If God had asked the women of Israel who wanted to be the mother of the Messiah, every one of them would have raised her hand. If they had known what that privilege would actually involve—becoming pregnant before marriage, enduring terrible gossip, watching helplessly as their Son was mocked, ridiculed, tortured and crucified—those hands would have come down in a hurry. Mary certainly didn’t volunteer for the job. And she was stunned to discover she’d been selected for such an important role. She handled the extraordinary situation with grace and humility. She asked one question to help her understand God’s plan, then agreed to it immediately. God has a plan for each of us. Ours may not be as earth-shattering as Mary’s. Ou...

I Know Him

Date - January 25th, 2022 Topic - I Know Him Bible Tex t - Then [Jesus] asked them, “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”Matthew 16:15-16 How can people describe the ocean when they have not experienced it? How would they explain the waves that crash against the rocks or the shifting of the sand as the tide tugs at the shoreline? Are they able to put into words how the sand feels between their toes or describe the majesty of an endless blue horizon? Until they have taken a dip in the salty, white-frothed ocean, their descriptions would be limited. Perhaps that is why Jesus asked the disciples to define their faith in him on a personal level rather than rely on what others had to say about him. Jesus challenged them to base their definition of who he was on the reality of what they had seen, heard, and experienced about him.  Today, many stand in public platforms and attempt to define Jesus as a good man, a teach...

Inside Jesus

DATE 28th June, 2023 TOPIC Inside Jesus LIVING SCRIPTURE John 15:4 KJV Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. Inside Jesus Christ the Lamb of God is where we must dwell. Just like a baby is carried in the womb of her mother for months, so must all God's children follow. The anchor scripture reveals that we must abide inside the cleft or riven side of Jesus Christ just as He also dwells inside us. No child of God or minister should ever think that he or she is sufficient or has attained a certain height in Christ Jesus to stand alone or even abide by themselves.  Our productivity of bearing fruits in this world either by evangelism, good deeds, love or any action can only be possible when we are intimate with Christ as He is with us. Without Christ Jesus inside us we cannot or it is impossible to grow spiritually and physically. Inside Christ Jesus contains all life's resources and...
