CONQUEROR OF DEATH

DATE: OCTOBER 30th, 2021

TOPIC: CONQUEROR OF DEATH

BIBLE TEXT: But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. - 1 Corinthians 15:20-23

Mark 5:21-43 tells the story of a man named Jairus whose daughter had died. He asked Jesus for help. Jesus told the mourners who had gathered that the girl wasn’t dead but was merely sleeping. The mourners laughed at him. Jesus took the girl by the hand and told her to get up. She got up. The mourners stopped laughing.

Jesus showed his ultimate power over death three days after his crucifixion. His heart, which had stopped beating, started again. His lungs, which had stopped breathing, filled with air. His eyes, which had been closed, opened. His muscles, which had stopped working, regained their power. His enemies, who thought they’d gotten rid of him for good, and his followers, who thought they’d lost him forever, were all in for the surprise of their lives.

Jesus conquered death once and for all through his resurrection. But that’s not all he did. He also blazed a trail for everyone who follows him. The apostle Paul tells us that Jesus will raise everyone who has died. If we believe in him, death ultimately can have no power over us.

PRAYER
Dear God, thank you for sending your Son to defeat death once and for all. Help us remember that death can have no power over us. Amen.

INSIGHT
You are also a conqueror in Christ Jesus

NEITHER HEIGHT NOR DEPTH

Date - December 28th, 2021 Topic - NEITHER HEIGHT NOR DEPTH Bible Text - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39 Your parents love you. You may be able to do something that makes them angry, but you will never be able to do anything that makes them stop loving you. Try to imagine this kind of love and then multiply it by infinity. That’s the love that Jesus has for you. That’s the love that God has for you. God made you. He loved you enough to create you. He loved you enough to give you free will. Then he loved you enough to give you his Son. He loved you enough to forgive you for turning away from him. This is an impossible love! This is a love that we may never understand. But we don’t have to understand it. We just have to a...

Bread of Life

DATE 13th April, 2023 TOPIC Bread of Life LIVING SCRIPTURE John 6:35 KJV And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. Pointing out the real sustainnance for every soul, Jesus Christ said to as many that will believe, I am the bread of life. Where does your strength come from? Is it from the gym or the physical diet you eat of that sustains you through life? Or a medical prescription by the best doctor in the world? What sustains you O child of God! The multitude returned to Jesus but not because of the things of God but for more physical bread and Christ Jesus taught them on the life giving bread that which is unending and eternal. Anyone that eats of this bread shall never hunger nor thirst again for any spiritual meal order than the Word of God and fellowship. Nicodemus came by night to Jesus and requested for the way to be saved and gain eternal life. Jesus taught him how to eat of the brea...

ENQUIRE FROM GOD

Date 📅 3rd October, 2022 Topic ENQUIRE FROM GOD Living Scripture 1 Samuel 23:1-2 KJV Then they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines fight against Keilah, and they rob the threshingfloors. [2] Therefore David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the Lord said unto David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah. David the son of Jesse was a very meticulous man who carefully ensured that every step he took was backed up by his master, the LORD. He waited for the voice of the LORD before acting which made him to be victorious and ahead of his enemies. This action of David is an expression of what every believer in Christ Jesus should do, stop thinking for yourself and trusting in men than the creator and savior of the world. Jesus waits to lead us into victory but are we willing like David to follow God's instructions! David used an ephod from the priestly garments which served as a means or medium to reach out to the LOR...
