REDEEMED BY CHRIST

DATE: OCTOBER 6, 2021

TOPIC: REDEEMED BY CHRIST

BIBLE TEXT: Colossians 1vs14 – In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
Hebrews 9vs12 – Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Beloved we owe everything we own, and all our lives to Christ. He alone went to the place angels could not, he reached the depths man could not, he paid the price, which money could not afford to pay. And shed his blood on the cross that animals blood could not atone neither any other man’s blood. What a great priviledge it is, that our redemption comes from the Son of righteousness, the Son of God.

Through the blood of Jesus, we obtained forgiveness of sins. That’s why God’s word says; “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things (sins, mistakes and errors) are passed away (they are all dead and have no life again to torment us); behold, all things are become new. The purity of the blood of Jesus Christ made our lives brand new and now acceptable before God the Father in heaven.

The blood of Christ is the force of exchange that bought back our freedom from sin and hell, that’s why Apostle Paul wrote in col. 2vs14 – Blotting out (removing forcefully) the handwriting of ordinances (statements and decrees) that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it (crucifying it) to his cross (the place of freedom and victory). He went on to say in 1Corinthians 15vs55 – O death (birth from sin) where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? Sin has no more wins over us in Christ Jesus as long we abide in the righteousness of God. Let us be thankful to God for the gift of salvation, redemption and sanctification in Christ Jesus.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you intentionally for buying me back with your holy blood thank you for paying the price.

Insight: And we overcame him (satan) by the blood of the lamb.

MARY, DID YOU KNOW?

Date - December 19th, 2021 Topic - MARY, DID YOU KNOW? Bible Text - But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” - Luke 1:30-31 If God had asked the women of Israel who wanted to be the mother of the Messiah, every one of them would have raised her hand. If they had known what that privilege would actually involve—becoming pregnant before marriage, enduring terrible gossip, watching helplessly as their Son was mocked, ridiculed, tortured and crucified—those hands would have come down in a hurry. Mary certainly didn’t volunteer for the job. And she was stunned to discover she’d been selected for such an important role. She handled the extraordinary situation with grace and humility. She asked one question to help her understand God’s plan, then agreed to it immediately. God has a plan for each of us. Ours may not be as earth-shattering as Mary’s. Ou...

THINKING GOD’S WAY

JULY 9TH – CAPSULE 9  TOPIC: THINKING GOD’S WAY  BIBLE TEXT: EPHESIANS 4VS23 – Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. How you process information and arrive at conclusions must always be subject to the will of God. Listen, “……….be made new in the attitude of your minds”. When you first start thinking Gods way, it will feel strange to you. It may even feel like a “put-on”. But it’s not. It works like this: you have to  (a). Practice being nice until you automatically become nice.  (b). Practice going to church on Sunday, until going anywhere else seems strange to you.  (c). Practice giving to God until it be comes as natural to you as shopping at the mall.  (d). Practice speaking the truth until even the smallest lie tastes bad in your mouth.  (e). Practice speaking kindness until every cynical, negative word is purged from your vocabulary. Its all a matter of practice! But you ask, “ isn’t that hypocritical – feeling one way and speaking an...

I Know Him

Date - January 25th, 2022 Topic - I Know Him Bible Tex t - Then [Jesus] asked them, “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”Matthew 16:15-16 How can people describe the ocean when they have not experienced it? How would they explain the waves that crash against the rocks or the shifting of the sand as the tide tugs at the shoreline? Are they able to put into words how the sand feels between their toes or describe the majesty of an endless blue horizon? Until they have taken a dip in the salty, white-frothed ocean, their descriptions would be limited. Perhaps that is why Jesus asked the disciples to define their faith in him on a personal level rather than rely on what others had to say about him. Jesus challenged them to base their definition of who he was on the reality of what they had seen, heard, and experienced about him.  Today, many stand in public platforms and attempt to define Jesus as a good man, a teach...
