THE SOUND OF VICTORY

DATE: OCTOBER 1ST 2021

TOPIC: THE SOUND OF VICTORY

BIBLE TEXT: JOSHUA 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

Our God is an awesome wonder, He instructed Joshua the son of Nun to lead the children of Israel into the promise land which He showed Moses His servant. Jericho was a strong city well-guarded and covered but the LORD released a wonderful strategy as an instruction to His children to pull down barriers and hindrances, to destroy obstacles that seems impossible. With an obedient the children of Israel followed God’s instruction and moved with the priests holding trumpets of rams and the Ark of the LORD six days. And on the seventh, they went round Jericho seven times and at the seventh turn they shouted greatly as the trumpet blasted and the walls of the Jericho fell down and the city fell into ruins and they took the city.

As children of God we need to learn devoted obedience, because Israel obeyed every instruction from God and they got their victory. You can also be victorious when you know where you belong. You cannot be everywhere at the same time. You need a family in the body of Christ, where God’s instructions will guide and lead you into your expected victory. Like Joshua, God has given us Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors and many ministers, to receive from Him and pass it to the church. The sound of victory is just shouting out loud but by following God’s instructions and principles.

Prayer – Heavenly King, I join my family in Christ to obtain total victory

Insight – You are only victorious in the will of God.

MARY, DID YOU KNOW?

Date - December 19th, 2021 Topic - MARY, DID YOU KNOW? Bible Text - But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” - Luke 1:30-31 If God had asked the women of Israel who wanted to be the mother of the Messiah, every one of them would have raised her hand. If they had known what that privilege would actually involve—becoming pregnant before marriage, enduring terrible gossip, watching helplessly as their Son was mocked, ridiculed, tortured and crucified—those hands would have come down in a hurry. Mary certainly didn’t volunteer for the job. And she was stunned to discover she’d been selected for such an important role. She handled the extraordinary situation with grace and humility. She asked one question to help her understand God’s plan, then agreed to it immediately. God has a plan for each of us. Ours may not be as earth-shattering as Mary’s. Ou...

I Know Him

Date - January 25th, 2022 Topic - I Know Him Bible Tex t - Then [Jesus] asked them, “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”Matthew 16:15-16 How can people describe the ocean when they have not experienced it? How would they explain the waves that crash against the rocks or the shifting of the sand as the tide tugs at the shoreline? Are they able to put into words how the sand feels between their toes or describe the majesty of an endless blue horizon? Until they have taken a dip in the salty, white-frothed ocean, their descriptions would be limited. Perhaps that is why Jesus asked the disciples to define their faith in him on a personal level rather than rely on what others had to say about him. Jesus challenged them to base their definition of who he was on the reality of what they had seen, heard, and experienced about him.  Today, many stand in public platforms and attempt to define Jesus as a good man, a teach...

THINKING GOD’S WAY

JULY 9TH – CAPSULE 9  TOPIC: THINKING GOD’S WAY  BIBLE TEXT: EPHESIANS 4VS23 – Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. How you process information and arrive at conclusions must always be subject to the will of God. Listen, “……….be made new in the attitude of your minds”. When you first start thinking Gods way, it will feel strange to you. It may even feel like a “put-on”. But it’s not. It works like this: you have to  (a). Practice being nice until you automatically become nice.  (b). Practice going to church on Sunday, until going anywhere else seems strange to you.  (c). Practice giving to God until it be comes as natural to you as shopping at the mall.  (d). Practice speaking the truth until even the smallest lie tastes bad in your mouth.  (e). Practice speaking kindness until every cynical, negative word is purged from your vocabulary. Its all a matter of practice! But you ask, “ isn’t that hypocritical – feeling one way and speaking an...
