WHO OWNS YOUR TONGUE

DATE:  16TH OCTOBER, 2021

TOPIC: WHO OWNS YOUR TONGUE?:

BIBLE TEXT: Proverbs 18vs21 – Death and life are in the power of tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

The tongue is a little member of the body yet it carries great power! Just think of how a small flame can set a huge forest ablaze. The tongue is also a fire! It can be compared to the sum total of wickedness and is the most dangerous part of the human body. It corrupts the entire body and is a hellish flame! It releases a fire that can burn throughout the course of human existence.
Knowing this facts, we must be careful how we use this small but powerful member of the body. Who owns your tongue beloveth? Yes, you are born again! Yes you are spirit filled but who is in charge of your tongue? King David the psalmist lent his tongue briefly to the devil as he lusted after Bathsheba and made a request of doom and his family fell into ruins; Joshua the son of Nun lent his tongue to God and he and his family vowed to serve the LORD; The foolish man praised himself for the increase God gave and lost his soul; Jesus gave his tongue to God and the world has not recovered from his victory over the devil and(sin & death).

As a child of God your tongue belongs to God, submit it to Him and let life proceed out of it.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I surrender my tongue to you, let your words train me and keep away from sin in Jesus name.

Insight: Study and meditate carefully on God’s word and speak it out often that’s how to speak life in Christ Jesus.

MARY, DID YOU KNOW?

Date - December 19th, 2021 Topic - MARY, DID YOU KNOW? Bible Text - But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” - Luke 1:30-31 If God had asked the women of Israel who wanted to be the mother of the Messiah, every one of them would have raised her hand. If they had known what that privilege would actually involve—becoming pregnant before marriage, enduring terrible gossip, watching helplessly as their Son was mocked, ridiculed, tortured and crucified—those hands would have come down in a hurry. Mary certainly didn’t volunteer for the job. And she was stunned to discover she’d been selected for such an important role. She handled the extraordinary situation with grace and humility. She asked one question to help her understand God’s plan, then agreed to it immediately. God has a plan for each of us. Ours may not be as earth-shattering as Mary’s. Ou...

DO TI NOW

May 11th – Capsule 11 TOPIC : DO IT NOW BIBLE TEXT : Redeeming the time, because the days are evil – Ephesians 5 vs. 16 How many times have you said, “I will do it tomorrow?” sometimes you put somethings off because you don’t think you know enough, can’t do it well enough. The fact is, there is no magic age at which excellence emerges and quality suddenly surfaces. Thomas Jefferson was 33 when he drafted the Declaration of Independence. Charles Dickens was 24 when he began his Pickwick Papers, and 25 when he wrote Oliver Twist. Newton was 24 when he formulated The Law of Gravity. A second danger is to think that creativity and invention belong to the young. Not so! Emmanuel Kant wrote his finest philosophical work at age 74. Verdi at 80 produced crossing the Bar, and Michelangelo completed his greatest work at 87, Moses was 80 when he led God’s people out of Egypt and 120 when he got to Canaan. Seize the day! Redeem the new moments of your life. Because the time and age ...

Unending Mercy

Date 📅 11th November, 2022 Topic Unending Mercy Living Scripture 1 Chronicles 16:34 KJV O give thanks unto the Lord ; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. Hallelujah brethren! This is the day which our Heavenly Father has made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it because His mercy and compassion is unending. When we think of the goodness of Jesus Christ in our lives we'll discover how much love He poured on us collectively and individually. On this glorious day King David sang his Psalm of Thanksgiving and adoration first unto the LORD with Asaph the chief musician on the cymbals. The ark of covenant was returning to its place in Israel after the victory over their enemies and relocation from the house of Obed-edom. It was a great day, the people fed and rejoiced at the feast of worship made by King David unto the LORD. As we start our day this morning, take time to worship God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit for all and everything you can rememb...
