Blessing the Children

Topic - Blessing the Children

Bible Text - Some children were brought to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. The disciples told them not to bother him. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.” And he put his hands on their heads and blessed them before he left. - Matthew 19:13-15

While the disciples were rebuking the children and those bringing them to Jesus, Jesus stretched out his arms to welcome and bless the children. God has always valued children and has invited them into vital, prayerful communication with him that they can maintain throughout their lives. He responds to children’s prayer groups and answers the simple requests of an individual child.

Are you welcoming the children you parent or teach to Jesus? Are you praying with them and teaching them to pray so that they will know God and not just know about him? Ask for his help. Model a vibrant prayer life with God yourself.

Pray fervently for these children. Ask God to help them see Jesus in you. Teach them all you know about how to pray to their heavenly Father. Do all you can to bring them to the One who loves them even more than you do.

PRAYER
LORD, thank you for the children in my life. Whether they are mine or someone else’s, draw them close. Help me teach them by example to go to you in times of need and times of praise to trust you with every part of their lives. Jesus, I will be your hands and feet in the lives of children. Show me how to bless them as you would.

INSIGHT
Holy Father, save our children Through life’s troubled waters steer them, Through life’s bitter battle cheer them, Father, Father, be Thou near them.

NEITHER HEIGHT NOR DEPTH

Date - December 28th, 2021 Topic - NEITHER HEIGHT NOR DEPTH Bible Text - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39 Your parents love you. You may be able to do something that makes them angry, but you will never be able to do anything that makes them stop loving you. Try to imagine this kind of love and then multiply it by infinity. That’s the love that Jesus has for you. That’s the love that God has for you. God made you. He loved you enough to create you. He loved you enough to give you free will. Then he loved you enough to give you his Son. He loved you enough to forgive you for turning away from him. This is an impossible love! This is a love that we may never understand. But we don’t have to understand it. We just have to a...

Breakfast with Jesus

DATE 24th June, 2023 TOPIC Breakfast with Jesus LIVING SCRIPTURE Psalm 65:4 KJV Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. The Psalmist was a peculiar man and one that feared the LORD and walked in the paths of righteousness. In his meditation and Psalms, he learnt to dine with Jesus Christ early and through Psalms, from the 63rd to the 66th, he found a way to breakfast with Jesus. The first contact we should have everyday is Jesus Christ, to receive of His glorious satisfaction early, contentment and to be filled with the goodness and mercy He gives His children daily. When a child eats with his parents there's that joy and peace within, such comfort and full assurance. Jesus Christ always ate with our Heavenly Father while He was here on earth, He sought after the LORD daily and was satisfied with the glory and goodness of the Father. Each...

Forgiveness of Sins

DATE - April 7th, 2022 TOPIC - Forgiveness of Sins BIBLE TEXT - Acts 5:31 AMP God exalted Him to His right hand as Prince and Savior and Deliverer, in order to grant repentance to Israel, and [to grant] forgiveness of sins. Apostle Peter stood tall before the council (Sanhedrin, Jewish High Court) to speak with boldness about a God who Saves and sets free any sinner from the power of sin. As a man who has been shown mercy though a man once filled with sinful ways, the Holy Spirit quickened him through his personal testimony of experiencing true forgiveness of sins before the Jewish High Court. Peter was a local fisherman with no knowledge of the gospel truth, who lived as he pleased. Until he encountered Jesus when Christ was walking by the sea of Galilee and he spotted Simon Peter who was in his boat struggling to catch a few fishes for days. Like many out there today who are living in sin and still struggling to make ends meet, Jesus is passing through that street, area...
