I’m Ordinary!

Topic - I’m Ordinary!

Bible Text - [God told Moses,] “Now go, and do as I have told you. I will help you speak well, and I will tell you what to say.” But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send someone else. - ”Exodus 4:12-13

Conflicting emotions arise when someone asks us to do something for which we feel unprepared or inadequate. We tend to look in the mirror and scrutinize our faults and shortcomings. But we can be thankful that God views us in a much different light. He sees the promises he placed inside us when we were conceived.

God knows our talents, and he also knows our disabilities and weaknesses. In today’s verses Moses focused on just one aspect of the task—speaking—but God saw a much broader picture. He understood the hardships that were ahead. He knew that Moses was not a skilled speaker but that it was not Moses’ speaking ability that would lead God’s people through the wilderness. Rather, it was the leadership skills, faith in God, and strength of character that God had developed in him that would guide a multitude out of Egypt.

God can enable you to do what he asks of you when you obey him. Just as a silver urn can be used to hold fine wine, so can a common crock. It’s what is on the inside that matters. When God uses ordinary people to perform the extraordinary, then his name is lifted up!

PRAYER
• Heavenly Father, I am ordinary, but you are amazing! You created me, and you see things you have placed inside me that I may not recognize yet. When you ask something of me, you also understand what I need to complete the task.

• Please use me in extraordinary ways so that people will know that you are behind it all and will exalt your name!

INSIGHT
Do you have an impossible job to do? Has the Lord told you to do it? Go ahead! When we pray, we enter God’s domain from the domain of our inability.

NEITHER HEIGHT NOR DEPTH

Date - December 28th, 2021 Topic - NEITHER HEIGHT NOR DEPTH Bible Text - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39 Your parents love you. You may be able to do something that makes them angry, but you will never be able to do anything that makes them stop loving you. Try to imagine this kind of love and then multiply it by infinity. That’s the love that Jesus has for you. That’s the love that God has for you. God made you. He loved you enough to create you. He loved you enough to give you free will. Then he loved you enough to give you his Son. He loved you enough to forgive you for turning away from him. This is an impossible love! This is a love that we may never understand. But we don’t have to understand it. We just have to a...

Breakfast with Jesus

DATE 24th June, 2023 TOPIC Breakfast with Jesus LIVING SCRIPTURE Psalm 65:4 KJV Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. The Psalmist was a peculiar man and one that feared the LORD and walked in the paths of righteousness. In his meditation and Psalms, he learnt to dine with Jesus Christ early and through Psalms, from the 63rd to the 66th, he found a way to breakfast with Jesus. The first contact we should have everyday is Jesus Christ, to receive of His glorious satisfaction early, contentment and to be filled with the goodness and mercy He gives His children daily. When a child eats with his parents there's that joy and peace within, such comfort and full assurance. Jesus Christ always ate with our Heavenly Father while He was here on earth, He sought after the LORD daily and was satisfied with the glory and goodness of the Father. Each...

Forgiveness of Sins

DATE - April 7th, 2022 TOPIC - Forgiveness of Sins BIBLE TEXT - Acts 5:31 AMP God exalted Him to His right hand as Prince and Savior and Deliverer, in order to grant repentance to Israel, and [to grant] forgiveness of sins. Apostle Peter stood tall before the council (Sanhedrin, Jewish High Court) to speak with boldness about a God who Saves and sets free any sinner from the power of sin. As a man who has been shown mercy though a man once filled with sinful ways, the Holy Spirit quickened him through his personal testimony of experiencing true forgiveness of sins before the Jewish High Court. Peter was a local fisherman with no knowledge of the gospel truth, who lived as he pleased. Until he encountered Jesus when Christ was walking by the sea of Galilee and he spotted Simon Peter who was in his boat struggling to catch a few fishes for days. Like many out there today who are living in sin and still struggling to make ends meet, Jesus is passing through that street, area...
