Topic - Words for Disciples

Bible Text - When you are arrested, don’t worry about what to say in your defense, because you will be given the right words at the right time. For it won’t be you doing the talking—it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.Matthew 10:19-20

Some of the traveling instructions that Jesus gave to his twelve disciples—such as don’t take any money with you, and don’t carry a bag or even an extra coat (Matthew 10:9-10)—may sound strange to our modern ears. But imbedded in Christ’s words are important principles and, most important, a call for a deeper level of trust.

In verse 19 Jesus carries that need to trust God even into the courtroom, advising his followers not to worry about relying on their own natural abilities to devise a clever defense, because God would give them the right words at the right time. Perhaps it is not a court trial you face but a job situation, a misunderstanding with a friend, or a problem with your teen.

This chapter assures you of something wonderful: that God himself will give you the inspiration as you rely on him to do so. As you stay tuned-in to him and actively trust him and wait for his prompting, it won’t be you doing the talking—it will be the Spirit of your Father. Rest today in the truth that the Lord will bring his words to your mind and that his words always accomplish the purposes for which they are sent.

PRAYER
• LORD, I’m thankful that you desire to speak through me. Help me learn to depend completely on you and to trust you for the right words at the right time.

• Whenever I am in a tight spot, I know that you are especially with me then, giving me just the right words to say to bring your life, light, and hope to people surrounded by darkness.

• I will give you all the glory because you are the only One who can do this. Thank you for your wisdom and timing, which are always perfect.

INSIGHT
In prayer you align yourself to the purposes and power of God and he is able to do things through you he couldn’t do otherwise.

MARY, DID YOU KNOW?

Date - December 19th, 2021 Topic - MARY, DID YOU KNOW? Bible Text - But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” - Luke 1:30-31 If God had asked the women of Israel who wanted to be the mother of the Messiah, every one of them would have raised her hand. If they had known what that privilege would actually involve—becoming pregnant before marriage, enduring terrible gossip, watching helplessly as their Son was mocked, ridiculed, tortured and crucified—those hands would have come down in a hurry. Mary certainly didn’t volunteer for the job. And she was stunned to discover she’d been selected for such an important role. She handled the extraordinary situation with grace and humility. She asked one question to help her understand God’s plan, then agreed to it immediately. God has a plan for each of us. Ours may not be as earth-shattering as Mary’s. Ou...

DO TI NOW

May 11th – Capsule 11 TOPIC : DO IT NOW BIBLE TEXT : Redeeming the time, because the days are evil – Ephesians 5 vs. 16 How many times have you said, “I will do it tomorrow?” sometimes you put somethings off because you don’t think you know enough, can’t do it well enough. The fact is, there is no magic age at which excellence emerges and quality suddenly surfaces. Thomas Jefferson was 33 when he drafted the Declaration of Independence. Charles Dickens was 24 when he began his Pickwick Papers, and 25 when he wrote Oliver Twist. Newton was 24 when he formulated The Law of Gravity. A second danger is to think that creativity and invention belong to the young. Not so! Emmanuel Kant wrote his finest philosophical work at age 74. Verdi at 80 produced crossing the Bar, and Michelangelo completed his greatest work at 87, Moses was 80 when he led God’s people out of Egypt and 120 when he got to Canaan. Seize the day! Redeem the new moments of your life. Because the time and age ...

Unending Mercy

Date 📅 11th November, 2022 Topic Unending Mercy Living Scripture 1 Chronicles 16:34 KJV O give thanks unto the Lord ; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. Hallelujah brethren! This is the day which our Heavenly Father has made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it because His mercy and compassion is unending. When we think of the goodness of Jesus Christ in our lives we'll discover how much love He poured on us collectively and individually. On this glorious day King David sang his Psalm of Thanksgiving and adoration first unto the LORD with Asaph the chief musician on the cymbals. The ark of covenant was returning to its place in Israel after the victory over their enemies and relocation from the house of Obed-edom. It was a great day, the people fed and rejoiced at the feast of worship made by King David unto the LORD. As we start our day this morning, take time to worship God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit for all and everything you can rememb...
