TOPIC - A Different Way

BIBLE TEXT - At dawn the disciples saw Jesus standing on the beach, but they couldn’t see who he was. He called out, “Friends, have you caught any fish?” “No,” they replied. Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get plenty of fish!” So they did, and they couldn’t draw in the net because there were so many fish in it. - John 21:4-6

When Jesus saw that the disciples had fished all night and caught nothing, he was interested in what they were doing. He didn’t say, “Stop fishing. Give up. Go home. Try again tomorrow!” Instead, he showed them a different way to go about their pursuit. He gave them a course correction: throw their nets on the other side of the boat. The disciples may have thought, It’s all the same water. How much difference can that make? But when they followed the new directions Jesus had given them, the nets could hardly hold the bountiful yield.

Perhaps you’ve been working and working with little fruitfulness to show for your efforts. You may even feel like giving up. But don’t do it. Instead, recommit your work to God. Ask him whether he wants you to follow a different strategy. He may have a course correction for you as he did for the disciples. Look for his guidance: he may give it in the midst of your task as he did for the disciples, in the quiet of the early morning, or as you drive down the street. But if you ask him, he will surely give it!

PRAYER
LORD, show me the best way to go about the work you’ve called me to so that I can be more fruitful for you and your kingdom. Thank you for creative ideas and fresh plans I never would think of on my own. I am so grateful that you delight in revealing them to a willing heart. And when you do, may I remember to give you the credit!

INSIGHT
Prayer fits into every phase of our earthly experience, and therefore we may always pray. Your present need, difficulty, or trouble may be taken to God in prayer. There is nothing in our life in which our Heavenly Father is not interested.

Capsule One - (WHAT DO YOU WANT SO BADLY?)

May 1st – Capsule 1 TOPIC: WHAT DO YOU WANT SO BADLY? BIBLE TEXT: Let us lay aside every weight and sin which easily beset us … Hebrews 12 vs. 1 You will start getting well when getting well is what matters most to you. Let your desperation drive you beyond concern about the opinions of others. As long as you are more conscious of people than you are of God, you will never get what you need. When Hannah, Samuel’s mother, prayed in the temple, there was so much locked inside her that when she began to pray and pour her heart out, Eli thought she was drunk (see 1 Samuel 1 vs. 13). God is raising up people who will confound us – radical Christians. Like those on the day of Pentecost, they were hungry for God. They will raise the roof to get to Jesus. They had carefully laid plans, and cry like blind Bartimaeus, “Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me” (Mark 10 vs. 47). When you are blind, all that matters is receiving your sight. When it looks like there’s no way out fo...

Sinner to Saint

Date 📅 20th October, 2022 Topic Sinner to Saint Living Scripture Romans 3:23 KJV For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; The journey of our convertion and transfiguration started when we decided to let go of our self and old ways and tune into the will of God by accepting Christ as Lord and Savior. Our Lord Jesus Christ is in the business of turning sinners to saints. Because of the fall of man from the beginning it was written that all mankind have sinned and come short of the supply of God's mighty glory. Which is why Christ Jesus died that we might be heirs and like heirs with Him in the kingdom of God. Without Jesus no one can be saved, all men without the knowledge and salvation of Christ are sinners. No man was born a saint, we are washed from stains, sins and disobedience into saints (children of God). The Bible is not full of men born as saints but rather men and women washed by the Blood of the Lamb of God and by the Word of God. Father Abrah...

DO TI NOW

May 11th – Capsule 11 TOPIC : DO IT NOW BIBLE TEXT : Redeeming the time, because the days are evil – Ephesians 5 vs. 16 How many times have you said, “I will do it tomorrow?” sometimes you put somethings off because you don’t think you know enough, can’t do it well enough. The fact is, there is no magic age at which excellence emerges and quality suddenly surfaces. Thomas Jefferson was 33 when he drafted the Declaration of Independence. Charles Dickens was 24 when he began his Pickwick Papers, and 25 when he wrote Oliver Twist. Newton was 24 when he formulated The Law of Gravity. A second danger is to think that creativity and invention belong to the young. Not so! Emmanuel Kant wrote his finest philosophical work at age 74. Verdi at 80 produced crossing the Bar, and Michelangelo completed his greatest work at 87, Moses was 80 when he led God’s people out of Egypt and 120 when he got to Canaan. Seize the day! Redeem the new moments of your life. Because the time and age ...
