The Good Shepherd

Living Scripture
John 10:11 KJV
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

CAPSULE
Jesus Christ is our good shepherd, which shows us responsibility and sacrifice. It is only a true leader that will go an extra mile to ensure total safety and provision of his people. He was never careless, He never lacked focus and none went missing amongst His sheep fold. The ways of Christ brought about relationship between the shepherd and the sheep, he attended to their needs and was ready to die for them no matter the confrontations they faced, which he did as a necessity for victory on the cross of Calvary.

Young David was a shepherd boy with similarities and qualities of a good shepherd. He never ran from an enemy or beasts which attacked his sheep. He was bold and courageous because he was also a sheep under the Chief Shepherd - Jesus Christ the Son of God. Many leaders run away at the slightest confrontations and leave their members open to attacks. Whereas a good leader should always prayer cover their flock (members). David testified that it was the LORD who helped him overcome those attacks.
1 Samuel 17:34-37 KJV
And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: [35] And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. [36] Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. [37] David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee.

Jesus Christ always depends on the Father for everything when it comes to shepherding. And He was very successful at it. In any area God has placed us to lead either as a parent, a teacher, a pastor, an apostle, a government official or the head of any organization, we are expected to follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ and seek the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Every leader must be a good sheep under Jesus Christ the Bishop of our souls.

• Heavenly Father, I receive Grace to lead well and to be led by you.

NEITHER HEIGHT NOR DEPTH

Date - December 28th, 2021 Topic - NEITHER HEIGHT NOR DEPTH Bible Text - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39 Your parents love you. You may be able to do something that makes them angry, but you will never be able to do anything that makes them stop loving you. Try to imagine this kind of love and then multiply it by infinity. That’s the love that Jesus has for you. That’s the love that God has for you. God made you. He loved you enough to create you. He loved you enough to give you free will. Then he loved you enough to give you his Son. He loved you enough to forgive you for turning away from him. This is an impossible love! This is a love that we may never understand. But we don’t have to understand it. We just have to a...

Bread of Life

DATE 13th April, 2023 TOPIC Bread of Life LIVING SCRIPTURE John 6:35 KJV And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. Pointing out the real sustainnance for every soul, Jesus Christ said to as many that will believe, I am the bread of life. Where does your strength come from? Is it from the gym or the physical diet you eat of that sustains you through life? Or a medical prescription by the best doctor in the world? What sustains you O child of God! The multitude returned to Jesus but not because of the things of God but for more physical bread and Christ Jesus taught them on the life giving bread that which is unending and eternal. Anyone that eats of this bread shall never hunger nor thirst again for any spiritual meal order than the Word of God and fellowship. Nicodemus came by night to Jesus and requested for the way to be saved and gain eternal life. Jesus taught him how to eat of the brea...

Capsule One - (WHAT DO YOU WANT SO BADLY?)

May 1st – Capsule 1 TOPIC: WHAT DO YOU WANT SO BADLY? BIBLE TEXT: Let us lay aside every weight and sin which easily beset us … Hebrews 12 vs. 1 You will start getting well when getting well is what matters most to you. Let your desperation drive you beyond concern about the opinions of others. As long as you are more conscious of people than you are of God, you will never get what you need. When Hannah, Samuel’s mother, prayed in the temple, there was so much locked inside her that when she began to pray and pour her heart out, Eli thought she was drunk (see 1 Samuel 1 vs. 13). God is raising up people who will confound us – radical Christians. Like those on the day of Pentecost, they were hungry for God. They will raise the roof to get to Jesus. They had carefully laid plans, and cry like blind Bartimaeus, “Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me” (Mark 10 vs. 47). When you are blind, all that matters is receiving your sight. When it looks like there’s no way out fo...
