Job 37:14 KJV

Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.




A certain man long ago was very wealthy and he had great possessions. He loved God and had the fear of God in him. But something happened along the way, he lost everything in a day, sad news and bad news kept hitting him hard! All his children died, his status crumbled before his eyes, businesses washed away, he became a reject in the community. But in a time when God's hand is involved, greatness is assured at the end of the road.


This man thought of many things and lamented over his entire life. His wife told him to willfully blame God, sin against the LORD and curse the maker of the universe in order to end his life and suffering and shame. But he endured the hardship process and the LORD restored him greatly more than before. True greatness comes from the LORD and not men. Job acknowledged how great our God is. 


Men became Great not by their hardwork or skills or talent but by their obedience to the will of God. Our Lord Jesus Christ became Great because He followed and obeyed the LORD. Any man that seeks to be great must be willing to serve the Almighty God in totality. Greatness is not just earthly but the hand of God upon man that increases him on all ramifications. Jesus is the way greatness, follow Him, give your life to him and accept His Lordship in your life.



PRAYER CAPSULE

• Heavenly Father I acknowledge that true greatness comes from you, please make me great.

• O LORD help me to follow Jesus Christ the way into greatness.

• By your Grace O LORD I shall wait on your touch.
