James 2:23 AMP
And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND THIS [faith] WAS CREDITED TO HIM [by God] AS RIGHTEOUSNESS and AS CONFORMITY TO HIS WILL," and he was called the friend of God.



A friend of God, this sounds impossible for a man to befriend a God. With men it is definitely impossible but with God all things are possible. Father Abraham was an unusual man who followed the LORD and built a trust system to form an breakable bond between him and God. He believed God so much that he went further to depend only on God's provision and security without compromise. Kings could not entice him nor persuade him. His dedication to the will of God led him into covenant relationships that generations till date are still partaking in it.

His relationship grew with the LORD that he became a prophet, a prince and a father of all nations. Whenever God asked him for a sacrifice he gave the best, he offered tithes of all! He was tither and a dangerous giver, he even offered his only covenant son Isaac to God just as our Heavenly Father offered up His only begotten Son Jesus Christ full of grace and truth. Like Father Abraham we need to develop our relationship with God by studying His words, believing and trusting every word of grace, submitting to the will of God and to the Holy Spirit. 

Jesus is waiting for us to grow in love with Him just as He loves us, building a strong relationship and faith everyday of our lives.



PRAYER CAPSULE
• Lord Jesus Christ, help me to be obedient and to trust you daily.
• I want to grow in my relationship with God, Holy Spirit help me.

A mango tree starts from a seed planted in the soil, from a mango fruit. It usually takes weeks or sometimes days for the leaves to grow or sprout and then it takes years before it can produce those edible mango fruits which we all like to chew.
