The Sound of Rejoicing

LIVING SCRIPTURE
Exodus 15:20-21 KJV
And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. [21] And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.



Hallelujah was born in heaven at the sound of victory and rejoicing as it echoed through eternity on that faithful day which the LORD has made. And this sound of gladness and praise was transported to the earth by revelation into the hearts of the Sons of God who began to worship the LORD in the beauty of His holiness. Our Father in Heaven has always loved pleasant sounds which makes Him to inhabit the praises of His people. As children of God we should never stop rejoicing and worshipping the Lord.

Israel had suffered for 400 years in the land of Egypt under pharaoh and his task masters and the Lord saw that it was time for His children to experience freedom. He sent Moses as a deliverer to usher them out with a sound of rejoicing. God parted the red sea and made His beloved to walk through on dry ground and when they passed through completely the Lord swallowed up their stubborn enemies chasing after them in the sea. And by the inspiration of God upon Miriam the elder sister of Moses, she sang the song of rejoicing to praise the Lord. And till date the saints of God are still singing His praise.

We can experience the Lord's glory more when we worship Him in Spirit and in truth. The walls of Jericho fell down and crumbled at the sound of victory. God lives in our hearts and streams through our worship. Let your worship rise this morning to the LORD not for gain alone but to give Him glory due to His name. God is ready to honor His words in lives if we are willing and obedient.

You can only talk convincingly about the God you know, the one you’ve spent time with. Any other God belongs in a theology book, and you will have a hard time selling Him.
