Psalm 62:5 KJV
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.


As children of God, we must all come to this knowledge of truth that all our dependencies should be on God. When God becomes our only source of wealth, health, Joy and love then we'll be rest assured of total peace and comfort. Our Heavenly Father cares for His own as a Father, He performs His responsibilities accurately to those who diligently seek Him. The psalmist learnt to wait on God because his expectations and hope came from the LORD. When God gives, it's perfect but when we fail to wait on God for the things we need and desire, we end up suffering diverse consequences and heaping loads of problems on ourselves.

David waited on the LORD for almost everything, right from when Prophet Samuel anointed him as of Israel. He never rushed to dethrone King Saul but patiently walked with God and saw the outstretched arm of God upon his life. Father Abraham was also a man who learnt to wait on God by leaning and trusting in God's words and he received an excellent reward. Our Lord Jesus Christ was perfect in waiting on God as the scripture reveals to us daily. Even up to the cross, yes all the way, He relied on the only source of help in Heaven, earth and underneath the earth. 

Are you born again? You can't wait on God if you don't have Christ Jesus living inside of you. Jesus Christ stands at the door of our hearts knocking and waiting for us to know and accept Him.

Heavenly Father I receive your grace and spiritual fruits to learn to wait and trust in you.
