LIVING SCRIPTURE
Exodus 13:21 KJV
And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:



Security has been of prime importance to man after the fall of man from glory. The need for spiritual and physical security became a priority due to the rapid increase in crime and violence caused by man's sinful nature and the devil's influence on vulnerable souls. Some people go as far as fortifying themselves with charms and native concussion while other trust in gadgets and technology and the government to protect their lives and properties. And it was not so in the beginning when God created Adam and Eve. The Lord placed man in a garden (a peaceful serene environment) there was absolutely no reason to be afraid or the thought of thieves because the Lord was their security officer.

Man fell and the hearts and intents of mankind became dark and wicked. Israel was in Egypt for several years oppressed and tormented by task masters until God showed up and cause ten plagues to hit the Egyptians and their lands. As Israel journeyed to the promise land, pharaoh and his host pursued after them alongside the spiritual principalities but the Lord had built up a security mechanism that was beyond man's understanding. And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: total security coverage and sustainance was handled by the Lord that no physical or spiritual force or armies or man could penetrate. The enemy was so close but was rendered useless, like the case of Daniel in the lion's den, God showed up and silenced the mouths of the hungry lions.

God is still securing His people today, for as many as dwell in the secret place of the Almighty, having received Christ Jesus and living in His will, we are guaranteed Heaven's top security. Fret not this morning as we acknowledge the wonders of God who never sleeps not slumbers and who has been our shield, refuge and strong tower from the beginning till date and forever Amen.

Why not give God everything and everyone to secure.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father I rely on your security for my destiny and family and endeavors in Jesus name.

O LORD secure me and my family as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death.

A mango tree starts from a seed planted in the soil, from a mango fruit. It usually takes weeks or sometimes days for the leaves to grow or sprout and then it takes years before it can produce those edible mango fruits which we all like to chew. Likewise a young child cannot start behaving like a grown man or handling responsibilities automatically.
