Light

Living Scripture:
Matthew 6:22 KJV
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

Light is as important as life and he who possesses it will never stumble. There are many elements on and above the earth that emits light but all these lights and their radiations are limited or confined to serve the purpose by which they were created. No matter how much we love the Sun because of its valuable contribution to the earth we cannot set our eyes on it because of the damage it will cause to our eyes. Likewise the Moon and the stars. But there is a light fit for our eyes that each moment we spend gazing at it we feel it's power and positive impact in our lives.

The light is found in the Word of God, sitting and waiting to manifest gloriously in our lives. This light is the only key to burning out every darkness, sickness, affliction and all forms of wickedness and evil. Jesus Christ fixed his eyes on the written word which made him to be full light. He went through the process to set an example for the church to follow. He also wants us to see in the dark and to be full of light. The anchor scripture shows the effects of our concentration on the Word of God, it brings wholeness and fullness. We become informed and transformed by the entrance of the word of God into our hearts.

To-do:
Study God's Word willingly and concentrate on Jesus Christ

PRAYER:
✓O LORD help me to see and focus on the Light from your Word

INSIGHT:
Looking up to Jesus by fixing our eyes on His Words of truth and not the sky. Gaze at Jesus

MARY, DID YOU KNOW?

Date - December 19th, 2021 Topic - MARY, DID YOU KNOW? Bible Text - But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” - Luke 1:30-31 If God had asked the women of Israel who wanted to be the mother of the Messiah, every one of them would have raised her hand. If they had known what that privilege would actually involve—becoming pregnant before marriage, enduring terrible gossip, watching helplessly as their Son was mocked, ridiculed, tortured and crucified—those hands would have come down in a hurry. Mary certainly didn’t volunteer for the job. And she was stunned to discover she’d been selected for such an important role. She handled the extraordinary situation with grace and humility. She asked one question to help her understand God’s plan, then agreed to it immediately. God has a plan for each of us. Ours may not be as earth-shattering as Mary’s. Ou...

DO TI NOW

May 11th – Capsule 11 TOPIC : DO IT NOW BIBLE TEXT : Redeeming the time, because the days are evil – Ephesians 5 vs. 16 How many times have you said, “I will do it tomorrow?” sometimes you put somethings off because you don’t think you know enough, can’t do it well enough. The fact is, there is no magic age at which excellence emerges and quality suddenly surfaces. Thomas Jefferson was 33 when he drafted the Declaration of Independence. Charles Dickens was 24 when he began his Pickwick Papers, and 25 when he wrote Oliver Twist. Newton was 24 when he formulated The Law of Gravity. A second danger is to think that creativity and invention belong to the young. Not so! Emmanuel Kant wrote his finest philosophical work at age 74. Verdi at 80 produced crossing the Bar, and Michelangelo completed his greatest work at 87, Moses was 80 when he led God’s people out of Egypt and 120 when he got to Canaan. Seize the day! Redeem the new moments of your life. Because the time and age ...

MAKE PRAYER A LIFESTYLE

JUNE 13TH – CAPSULE 13  TOPIC: MAKE PRAYER A LIFESTYLE  BIBLE TEXT : EXODUS 30 VS 7-8 – Aaron must burn sweet incense on it. Every morning, when he trims the lamps, he must burn incense. When Aaron lights the lamps at sundown, he must burn incense on it. It is to be a perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations . Growing in the things of the Lord requires consistency in prayers, in studying God’s word and in obedience to His will. Aaron brother of Moses was the High Priest of Israel who followed a constant divine lifestyle that required him to pray every morning, afternoon and evening hours and during any operations that was required of him. He maintained this lifestyle all the days of his life.  Our Lord Jesus Christ came to fulfill the Father’s will and He was successful because He maintained a constant praying life. The goal ahead is not just for 5 or 10 minutes prayers but for a daily flow of intercessions, supplications and much thanksgi...
