John 4:40 KJV
So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.



The Samaritans were a people often forgotten and neglected out of the Israelites. This was also because of their firm religious beliefs. But their thoughts and ways and norms did not stop our Lord Jesus Christ from reaching out to them and evangelizing the gospel that brought them freedom and peace. The word of God touched the woman at the well and she could not hold her joy, she went into the town spreading the good news .

Many Samaritans came to see Jesus Christ because of his words. The word of God accepted their excesses and transformed their ways. Let us pick the habit of drawing closer to Jesus every hour, not for the job we are seeking earnestly or the desire we need met but because of His words. The Samaritans where a hungry people in need of word nourishment and not magic or meals, they saw the truth in the man called Jesus Christ. 

Many carry a message but only the truth of God's Word that sticks to the hearts of men. The Samaritans where never the same and for two days Jesus Christ held services teaching them about the ways of our Heavenly Father. It doesn't matter our ethnicity or backgrounds, Jesus Christ is speaking in the volume of the Holy Scripture - The Bible saying come and be saved, learn of me for I am Meek and lowly in heart. 



TO-DO:
Go before the Lord this morning and hunger for His Word.

PRAYER
O LORD I need your words in my life just like the Samaritans whom you taught for two days extra.

Help me Holy Spirit to desire the word of God.

INSIGHT
Develop a hunger for God's Word beyond your time.

It usually takes weeks or sometimes days for the leaves to grow or sprout and then it takes years before it can produce those edible mango fruits which we all like to chew.
