LIVING SCRIPTURE
1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.





It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD as an expression of gratitude for the visible and invisible works. Thanksgiving is one of the actions that man cannot over render unto God, if possible our daily statements should be surrounded with thanksgiving. When we show our love and appreciation unto the LORD, we truly reveal the state of our hearts, which is where God does His business with. A man that cannot appreciate the LORD cannot truly appreciate men though he appear grateful but the statements of the heart says otherwise.

When is the right time to give thanks? One may ponder! When we are expectant alone? Or when we receive good tidings and gifts? These seasons are all good times to show appreciation but we must recognize also that in mourning we should give thanks, in little, in seemingly unfavorable times, in dryness and all circumstances of life. Looking at brother Job as a case study this morning; we see a man who's ways pleased the LORD, he was full of thanks unto God in good times and also when the devil came destructively, with the aim of killing his thanksgiving spirit. The devil failed because Job's spirit and heart of thanksgiving was not rooted to material and carnal things but in the love of God shared upon an unworthy man that found favor in the sight of God. (Study the book of Job carefully)


On what is your thanks giving rooted or built upon? Find expression this morning with Christ Jesus by building your thanksgiving on His unfailing love and words. Don't let the devil take the upper hand over you by ignorance, your joy is not tied to a husband or wife or children or job, business or career! Your joy is to be bounded in the love of God, wherein you give thanks for the privilege of having a family, spouse, children, jobs and more.

PRAYER
✓Heavenly Father I thank you for your love and care upon my life, family and nation.

✓Thank you for the knowledge of an expression of Thanksgiving bound by your love, help me build my thanksgiving spirit by your Spirit and words.

✓I overcome the devil this morning by the insight of God I have received this morning, thank you Jesus.
