Mary certainly didn’t volunteer for the job. And she was stunned to discover she’d been selected for such an important role. She handled the extraordinary situation with grace and humility. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. Inside Jesus Christ the Lamb of God is where we must dwell. Just like a baby is carried in the womb of her mother for months, so must all God's children follow. The anchor scripture reveals that we must abide inside the cleft or riven side of Jesus Christ just as He also dwells inside us. No child of God or minister should ever think that he or she is sufficient or has attained a certain height in Christ Jesus to stand alone or even abide by themselves.  Our productivity of bearing fruits in this world either by evangelism, good deeds, love or any action can only be possible when we are intimate with Christ as He is with us.
