Giving
LIVING SCRIPTURE
Luke 6:38 KJV
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Giving is lending a 'helping heart', we are used to the catch phrase- 'helping hand', but giving is nothing, rendered null and void, if it is not from rthe heart. The Father so loved the world that He gave life (His Son), and the Son so loved The Father that He gladly obeyed The Father throughout His journey on earth, that's why till today, that giving counts and it is still making wonderful impacts till now. This Giving id powerful because it is backed up by Love, Giving without love will soon fade away.
As children of God, we are expected to love first, so that whatever it is we give will last, will count and will have impacts. Do not give expecting something in return, giving is not a business or a trading system. It is wrong for a child of God to think you have nothing to give, always wanting to receive will make you greedy and selfish, after all, the Word of Life, told us it is more blessed to give than to receive. Giving is a command, obey that command today in love. God bless you.
INsight: the wonderful thing about giving is that, you receive much more than you have given.
To Do: Give someone something today: a smile, a prayer, a helping heart.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to be consistent in giving like you in Jesus name.
