Love Your Neighbor

LIVING SCRIPTURE
Matthew 25:35-40 TPT
For when you saw me hungry, you fed me. When you found me thirsty, you gave me something to drink. When I had no place to stay, you invited me in,
[36] and when I was poorly clothed, you covered me. When I was sick, you tenderly cared for me, and when I was in prison you visited me.'
[37] "Then the godly will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty and give you food and something to drink?
[38] When did we see you with no place to stay and invite you in? When did we see you poorly clothed and cover you?
[39] When did we see you sick and tenderly care for you, or in prison and visit you?'
[40] "And the King will answer them, 'Don't you know? When you cared for one of the least important of these my little ones, my true brothers and sisters, you demonstrated love for me.'

A neighbor is an important person or individual in the teachings of God. Several times Christ spoke about the word neighbor, who is a neighbor, how to love a neighbor and in this text, expressing true love to our neighbors as a service unto the Lord. God can't be seen with the physical eyes but can be seen through several men and women walking and working in His will and Led by the Holy Spirit.

When we fail to love a neighbor that is, the closest person or individual to us, then we've failed to express love to God. Seeing the poor in hunger and need and turning a blind eye to their need when you can actually do something is also an act of despising the Lord. Jesus taught about those who don't wait to see God eye to eye before expressing His love to them, He calls them the godly ones.

Will you attend to your neighbor's needs as unto Christ Jesus? Meditate on it and ask the Holy Spirit for deeper understanding and comprehension.

TO-DO
Walk, talk and express love to your neighbor as unto Christ Jesus.

MARY, DID YOU KNOW?

Date - December 19th, 2021 Topic - MARY, DID YOU KNOW? Bible Text - But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” - Luke 1:30-31 If God had asked the women of Israel who wanted to be the mother of the Messiah, every one of them would have raised her hand. If they had known what that privilege would actually involve—becoming pregnant before marriage, enduring terrible gossip, watching helplessly as their Son was mocked, ridiculed, tortured and crucified—those hands would have come down in a hurry. Mary certainly didn’t volunteer for the job. And she was stunned to discover she’d been selected for such an important role. She handled the extraordinary situation with grace and humility. She asked one question to help her understand God’s plan, then agreed to it immediately. God has a plan for each of us. Ours may not be as earth-shattering as Mary’s. Ou...

THINKING GOD’S WAY

JULY 9TH – CAPSULE 9  TOPIC: THINKING GOD’S WAY  BIBLE TEXT: EPHESIANS 4VS23 – Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. How you process information and arrive at conclusions must always be subject to the will of God. Listen, “……….be made new in the attitude of your minds”. When you first start thinking Gods way, it will feel strange to you. It may even feel like a “put-on”. But it’s not. It works like this: you have to  (a). Practice being nice until you automatically become nice.  (b). Practice going to church on Sunday, until going anywhere else seems strange to you.  (c). Practice giving to God until it be comes as natural to you as shopping at the mall.  (d). Practice speaking the truth until even the smallest lie tastes bad in your mouth.  (e). Practice speaking kindness until every cynical, negative word is purged from your vocabulary. Its all a matter of practice! But you ask, “ isn’t that hypocritical – feeling one way and speaking an...

I Know Him

Date - January 25th, 2022 Topic - I Know Him Bible Tex t - Then [Jesus] asked them, “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”Matthew 16:15-16 How can people describe the ocean when they have not experienced it? How would they explain the waves that crash against the rocks or the shifting of the sand as the tide tugs at the shoreline? Are they able to put into words how the sand feels between their toes or describe the majesty of an endless blue horizon? Until they have taken a dip in the salty, white-frothed ocean, their descriptions would be limited. Perhaps that is why Jesus asked the disciples to define their faith in him on a personal level rather than rely on what others had to say about him. Jesus challenged them to base their definition of who he was on the reality of what they had seen, heard, and experienced about him.  Today, many stand in public platforms and attempt to define Jesus as a good man, a teach...
