TOPIC
Decorate your Spirit

LIVING SCRIPTURE
1 Peter 3:3-4 KJV
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
[4] But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

The inner as Apostle Peter calls our spirit needs to be adorned and decorated with things that are more spirit like than with carnal desires and designs. In the world and it's communities globally we see different categories of men and women of God whose adornment are only physical, they walk about with a title of pride and clothing to show their status while their own spirit lacks strength and beauty. God wants us to put on the ornament of meek, humble and quiet spirit, decorations of the inner man that the physical eyes can hardly see.

Our LORD Jesus Christ lived a wealthy spiritual life and physically he was meek and humble. The holy scriptures revealed that he was filled with wisdom and waxed strong in spirit i.e the Inner man. Yet he never boasted nor show with carnal appearance the level of grace upon his life. As children of God this morning we need to increase our faith in the Lord by giving ourselves to the school of the Spirit. Upon each growth comes a decoration which takes us to the next level of grace and walk with God.

TO-DO
Let us follow the leading of Christ Jesus and decorate our Inner man first.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father I have come to learn at your feet, help me to learn & grow consistently that my Inner man may be adorned graciously in Jesus name.

Capsule One - (WHAT DO YOU WANT SO BADLY?)

May 1st – Capsule 1 TOPIC: WHAT DO YOU WANT SO BADLY? BIBLE TEXT: Let us lay aside every weight and sin which easily beset us … Hebrews 12 vs. 1 You will start getting well when getting well is what matters most to you. Let your desperation drive you beyond concern about the opinions of others. As long as you are more conscious of people than you are of God, you will never get what you need. When Hannah, Samuel’s mother, prayed in the temple, there was so much locked inside her that when she began to pray and pour her heart out, Eli thought she was drunk (see 1 Samuel 1 vs. 13). God is raising up people who will confound us – radical Christians. Like those on the day of Pentecost, they were hungry for God. They will raise the roof to get to Jesus. They had carefully laid plans, and cry like blind Bartimaeus, “Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me” (Mark 10 vs. 47). When you are blind, all that matters is receiving your sight. When it looks like there’s no way out fo...

DO TI NOW

May 11th – Capsule 11 TOPIC : DO IT NOW BIBLE TEXT : Redeeming the time, because the days are evil – Ephesians 5 vs. 16 How many times have you said, “I will do it tomorrow?” sometimes you put somethings off because you don’t think you know enough, can’t do it well enough. The fact is, there is no magic age at which excellence emerges and quality suddenly surfaces. Thomas Jefferson was 33 when he drafted the Declaration of Independence. Charles Dickens was 24 when he began his Pickwick Papers, and 25 when he wrote Oliver Twist. Newton was 24 when he formulated The Law of Gravity. A second danger is to think that creativity and invention belong to the young. Not so! Emmanuel Kant wrote his finest philosophical work at age 74. Verdi at 80 produced crossing the Bar, and Michelangelo completed his greatest work at 87, Moses was 80 when he led God’s people out of Egypt and 120 when he got to Canaan. Seize the day! Redeem the new moments of your life. Because the time and age ...
