THE ULTIMATE POTTER

DATE: OCTOBER 29th, 2021

TOPIC: THE ULTIMATE POTTER

BIBLE TEXT: Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. - Isaiah 64:8

Young children often love clay because it does whatever you want it to. It is easy to bend, fold and squish. And if you make a mistake, you can fix it instantly by pushing the clay back into place.

Some of these children go on to become potters. They form intricate sculptures that sell in art galleries via social platforms for thousands of dollars both in Africa and overseas. They create gorgeous clay pots, mugs and bowls. These potters are artists. They put their heart and soul into their work. They are diligent, making sure that every aspect of their creation is just the way they want it. They know it has to be perfect because it will be a reflection of who they are as artists. In the hands of these talented artists, the clay becomes a masterpiece, bearing their signature.
Get a mirror this morning and look at the beautiful creation of our Heavenly Father. We are God’s artwork. He forms us like clay, modeling us with his own hands. We bear his signature. He does not make mistakes. He is God—the ultimate potter. And we are God’s masterpieces. Wherever we go, the handwriting of God is seen upon us and no man or spirit can claim the originality of our existence.

PRAYER
Dear God, thank you for creating us. Thank you for intentionally making each of us unique. Thank you for loving us. Amen.

INSIGHT
You are a master piece made by God in Heaven.

THINKING GOD’S WAY

JULY 9TH – CAPSULE 9  TOPIC: THINKING GOD’S WAY  BIBLE TEXT: EPHESIANS 4VS23 – Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. How you process information and arrive at conclusions must always be subject to the will of God. Listen, “……….be made new in the attitude of your minds”. When you first start thinking Gods way, it will feel strange to you. It may even feel like a “put-on”. But it’s not. It works like this: you have to  (a). Practice being nice until you automatically become nice.  (b). Practice going to church on Sunday, until going anywhere else seems strange to you.  (c). Practice giving to God until it be comes as natural to you as shopping at the mall.  (d). Practice speaking the truth until even the smallest lie tastes bad in your mouth.  (e). Practice speaking kindness until every cynical, negative word is purged from your vocabulary. Its all a matter of practice! But you ask, “ isn’t that hypocritical – feeling one way and speaking an...

The Narrow Path

DATE : September 12, 2021 TOPIC : The Narrow Path BIBLE TEXT: Matthew 7v13&14 – Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. The road to eternity is a narrow path, with a single choice. There are no alternatives into eternity. It is either you walk through the narrow way into heaven or you follow the broad path that leads men (souls) to hell fire. God sent His only Son to die for mankind, creating the way, the truth and the life, to all who believe in Christ Jesus. It is either you make a choice to follow Jesus or you walk straight into hell. Many are searching for this path in the wrong direction, places, traditions, customs, beliefs and religions but cannot find it there. Only those that hear about the Kingdom of Heaven coming soon and believe in Jesus Christ shal...

IT RUBS OFF

AUGUST 9th - CAPSULE 9 TOPIC: IT RUBS OFF BIBLE TEXT: Exodus 34 vs. 29 – His face glowed from being in the presence of God. You can only talk convincingly about the God you know, the one you’ve spent time with. Any other God belongs in a theology book, and you will have a hard time selling Him. When Moses came down from the mountain, his face shone. He had been in God’s presence, and when you’ve been there it shows in the way you look, the way you walk and talk, the way you treat your family, the way you spend your money and the way you respond to hurting people. It rubs off!   Paul Cain says “most of us are as close to God as we want to be”. Think about it “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you” (James 4 vs. 8). How could you possibly be the same when you’ve been with Him? He transforms everything He touches. Listen – He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91 vs. 1). He didn’t say “visit” or...
