Topic - THE ULTIMATE SOURCE OF ADVICE

Bible Text - You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. - Psalm 73:24



What if you knew someone who was unbelievably wise, with the ability to give perfect advice, exactly right for each and every individual? What if this someone could see into the future and base the advice on what was truly best for you? Wouldn’t you go to great lengths to get that advice?

You do know this someone. You have access to this kind of advice.

God’s wisdom is beyond our understanding. He knows exactly what we need at any given time. He knows exactly which decision we should make, every time. He knows the future, and he knows what is best for us.

First John 2:27 tells us that the Holy Spirit is the only teacher we need. Of course, it is always smart to ask other believers for advice, especially when it’s difficult to find the answers to our questions in the Bible. But the answers are there. In the end, God is the ultimate source of advice. And we can ask him for it at any time. 


PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for giving us the Holy Spirit and the Bible. We pray we will remember that you are the ultimate source of advice. Amen.

INSIGHT
God's counsel is the ultimate.

AUGUST 9th - CAPSULE 9 TOPIC: IT RUBS OFF BIBLE TEXT: Exodus 34 vs. 29 – His face glowed from being in the presence of God. You can only talk convincingly about the God you know, the one you’ve spent time with. Any other God belongs in a theology book, and you will have a hard time selling Him. When Moses came down from the mountain, his face shone. He had been in God’s presence, and when you’ve been there it shows in the way you look, the way you walk and talk, the way you treat your family, the way you spend your money and the way you respond to hurting people. How would they explain the waves that crash against the rocks or the shifting of the sand as the tide tugs at the shoreline?
