WALK INTO GREATNESS

Topic - WALK INTO GREATNESS!

Bible Text - I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart. - Psalm 40:8

Devotions are a great way to study God’s Word and get to know God’s will. In Psalm 40, King David the Psalmist wrote that he kept God’s law within his heart. God's word became his drive and push into greatness. That’s something we can do too, to keep God’s truth in the innermost part of ourselves where no one can ever take it away.

When we carry the Word of God in our hearts, we are closer to God. And only His words can bring about our desired greatness in the coming year. As we soar into the New Year let us get closer to God and not relent in our fellowship with Christ and with our brethren in the church.

An awesome way to keep God’s Word close is through study & meditation. We may have been encouraged to meditate and memorize verses in Sunday school. Or we may have memorized poems in school. Meditating and Memorizing God’s Word shouldn’t feel like an obligation. If we do it because we think we have to, then the Word will be stored in our minds but not our hearts. So let’s think about giving it a try. If we do, we will etch God’s truths right into the fabric of our being.

PRAYER
Dear God, thank you for giving us so many ways to learn about you. We can never thank you enough for your Word. Please help us to learn it, understand it and keep it within our hearts. Amen.

INSIGHT
Our journey does not end with the year, we soar into greatness!

The Good Slow

DATE 📅 19th September, 2022 TOPIC The Good Slow LIVING SCRIPTURE Habakkuk 2:3 KJV For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. A mango tree starts from a seed planted in the soil, from a mango fruit. It usually takes weeks or sometimes days for the leaves to grow or sprout and then it takes years before it can produce those edible mango fruits which we all like to chew. Likewise a young child cannot start behaving like a grown man or handling responsibilities automatically. Just like the fruits that once started as a seed, so is the LORD'S work everyday for His children if only we believe that it is settled. To tarry is to delay a thing or a matter, but the Lord said, it will surely come to pass it will no longer delay. Sometimes we experience the tarrying process and many think God is slow and not responsive to their needs. Many seek out alternati...

IT RUBS OFF

AUGUST 9th - CAPSULE 9 TOPIC: IT RUBS OFF BIBLE TEXT: Exodus 34 vs. 29 – His face glowed from being in the presence of God. You can only talk convincingly about the God you know, the one you’ve spent time with. Any other God belongs in a theology book, and you will have a hard time selling Him. When Moses came down from the mountain, his face shone. He had been in God’s presence, and when you’ve been there it shows in the way you look, the way you walk and talk, the way you treat your family, the way you spend your money and the way you respond to hurting people. It rubs off!   Paul Cain says “most of us are as close to God as we want to be”. Think about it “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you” (James 4 vs. 8). How could you possibly be the same when you’ve been with Him? He transforms everything He touches. Listen – He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91 vs. 1). He didn’t say “visit” or...

Heaven

Date 📅 25th November, 2022 Topic Heaven (Trading Talents) Living Scripture Matthew 25:14 KJV For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. The Kingdom of Heaven was described by our Lord Jesus Christ in various descriptive narratives pointing out the hidden truth in several parables. Heaven contains important life lessons on the purpose of every child of God here on earth and finding it makes the will of God visible to us and achievable here on earth. This morning we see Heaven from the business man perspective, enriching and equipping His own servants with goods that are all profitable. Heaven is real and Christ Jesus only invest in His own servants. God doesn't bless a mess, He works with as many who believes in Christ Jesus His Son who died for the world. God instructs His Son to deposit into every child of His talents that will favor them, show that they are useful and can work with Heaven....
