TOPIC: NO RESERVE, NO RETREAT, NO REGRETS

BIBLE TEXT: MATTHEW 25 VS 21 – Well done thou good and faithful servant.

Bill Bordeu of the famous Borden Milk Family in America, turned his back on fame and fortune and went to China as a missionary. His friends in America thought he had taken leave of his senses by walking away from a life of comfort and riches. He had been missing for days when they found his body in a tent. Under his thumb, was a note found that read, “No reserve! No retreat! No regrets!”

Think of it child of God, “No reserve” meaning holding nothing back. “No retreat” meaning never looking back or turning back from what God called you to do. “NO regrets” that is “a workman that needeth not to be ashamed” [2 Timothy 2vs15].

Today, the spotlight is on commitment. When you look at yourself, what you see may not be a very nice picture, but be honest with yourself…..painfully honest. Ask God to help you rebuild your altar, and then place your life on it.

Prayer: Lord Jesus the Master builder, please rebuild my altar in Jesus name.

Insight: Be committed!

You can only talk convincingly about the God you know, the one you’ve spent time with. Any other God belongs in a theology book, and you will have a hard time selling Him. When Moses came down from the mountain, his face shone. How could you possibly be the same when you’ve been with Him? He transforms everything He touches. A mango tree starts from a seed planted in the soil, from a mango fruit. It usually takes weeks or sometimes days for the leaves to grow or sprout and then it takes years before it can produce those edible mango fruits which we all like to chew. Likewise a young child cannot start behaving like a grown man or handling responsibilities automatically. The Kingdom of Heaven was described by our Lord Jesus Christ in various descriptive narratives pointing out the hidden truth in several parables. Heaven contains important life lessons on the purpose of every child of God here on earth and finding it makes the will of God visible to us and achievable here on earth. This morning we see Heaven from the business man perspective, enriching and equipping His own servants with goods that are all profitable. Heaven is real and Christ Jesus only invest in His own servants. God doesn't bless a mess, He works with as many who believes in Christ Jesus His Son who died for the world. God instructs His Son to deposit into every child of His talents that will favor them, show that they are useful and can work with Heaven....
