When I Am Troubled

TOPIC - When I Am Troubled

BIBLE TEXT - I believed in you, so I prayed, “I am deeply troubled, Lord.” - Psalm 116:10

God has called us to a life of prayer, of constant and ongoing communication with Him, and has purposed that we would turn to Him in our troubles. That the Almighty, All-powerful LORD wants to hear our needs and hurts is great news. But the fact that He not only hears our prayers but also intervenes and delights in showing us His loving-kindness and doing wonderful things in response to our petitions makes prayer a truly amazing thing.

Through prayer, everything can change—starting with our own hearts and lives—and even when we feel most helpless or are most troubled, God can infuse the worst situations with His light and grace. When we pray, the impossible becomes possible, and the powers of darkness are dispersed. No wonder Satan tries every scheme to keep us from praying! But because we believe in God and his limitless power, we can take our most honest concerns and feelings to him and know that he will hear us.

PRAYER
LORD, when I am troubled, help me to run to you the way little children run to their fathers when they don’t know what to do or where to go. Increase my belief in your fatherly heart and your tenderness toward me, and increase my faith in the power of prayer.

INSIGHT
It is by prayer that we couple the powers of heaven to our helplessness, the powers which can turn water into wine and remove mountains in our own life and in the lives of others, the power which can awaken those who sleep in sin and raise up the dead, the powers which can capture strongholds and make the impossible possible.

MARY, DID YOU KNOW?

Date - December 19th, 2021 Topic - MARY, DID YOU KNOW? Bible Text - But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” - Luke 1:30-31 If God had asked the women of Israel who wanted to be the mother of the Messiah, every one of them would have raised her hand. If they had known what that privilege would actually involve—becoming pregnant before marriage, enduring terrible gossip, watching helplessly as their Son was mocked, ridiculed, tortured and crucified—those hands would have come down in a hurry. Mary certainly didn’t volunteer for the job. And she was stunned to discover she’d been selected for such an important role. She handled the extraordinary situation with grace and humility. She asked one question to help her understand God’s plan, then agreed to it immediately. God has a plan for each of us. Ours may not be as earth-shattering as Mary’s. Ou...

DO TI NOW

May 11th – Capsule 11 TOPIC : DO IT NOW BIBLE TEXT : Redeeming the time, because the days are evil – Ephesians 5 vs. 16 How many times have you said, “I will do it tomorrow?” sometimes you put somethings off because you don’t think you know enough, can’t do it well enough. The fact is, there is no magic age at which excellence emerges and quality suddenly surfaces. Thomas Jefferson was 33 when he drafted the Declaration of Independence. Charles Dickens was 24 when he began his Pickwick Papers, and 25 when he wrote Oliver Twist. Newton was 24 when he formulated The Law of Gravity. A second danger is to think that creativity and invention belong to the young. Not so! Emmanuel Kant wrote his finest philosophical work at age 74. Verdi at 80 produced crossing the Bar, and Michelangelo completed his greatest work at 87, Moses was 80 when he led God’s people out of Egypt and 120 when he got to Canaan. Seize the day! Redeem the new moments of your life. Because the time and age ...

Unending Mercy

Date 📅 11th November, 2022 Topic Unending Mercy Living Scripture 1 Chronicles 16:34 KJV O give thanks unto the Lord ; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. Hallelujah brethren! This is the day which our Heavenly Father has made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it because His mercy and compassion is unending. When we think of the goodness of Jesus Christ in our lives we'll discover how much love He poured on us collectively and individually. On this glorious day King David sang his Psalm of Thanksgiving and adoration first unto the LORD with Asaph the chief musician on the cymbals. The ark of covenant was returning to its place in Israel after the victory over their enemies and relocation from the house of Obed-edom. It was a great day, the people fed and rejoiced at the feast of worship made by King David unto the LORD. As we start our day this morning, take time to worship God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit for all and everything you can rememb...
