NEVER OUT OF HIS SIGHT!

August 1, CAPSULE 1 TOPIC: NEVER OUT OF HIS SIGHT! BIBLE TEXT: “The eyes of the Lord your God are continually upon (The Land) from the beginning of the year to its end” – Deuteronomy 11 vs. 12 (KJV) As you walk into the month of explosive testimonies, God’s Word gives you a glimpse into some of the wonderful things He has in store for you. Listen – “………the land you are about to enter and possess is not like where you have come from, it is a land of hills and valleys with plenty of rain – a land that the Lord your God personally cares for! His eyes are always upon it, day after day, throughout the year” – Deuteronomy 11 vs. 10 – 12 (Living Bible Version). You are about to enter an explosive month where God promises you everything you need to succeed! No matter what you left behind in the past months , this new one offers you a fresh start. God says He will not remember your sins and shortcomings (Isaiah 43 vs. 25), so close the door and move forward. Note : the land ahead

THE REWARDER

JULY 31st – CAPSULE 31 TOPIC: THE REWARDER TEXT: Hebrews 11:6 KJV But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. God the Father is in the business of rewarding His diligent children. The book of Hebrews 11 reveals how God rewarded men who sought Him with all their hearts and were diligently obedient to His Words. He called out Abraham and sent him to a strange land and he obeyed the LORD and the land of Canaan was given to him and his generations till date. Sarah believed God and was rewarded with a working womb and a son at her old age and the Lord gave her strength to bring forth the child without operations or any surgical procedure. Daniel, the man who defied King Nebuchadnezzar’s decree inorder to honor the living God the KING of kings, was rewarded with victory over they hungry lions and great dominion in the land of Babylon. You and I are not left out of

THE FAVOUR OF GOD

JULY 30TH – CAPSULE 30 TOPIC: THE FAVOUR OF GOD BIBLE TEXT:  GENESIS 26VS24 – The LORD appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the God of Abraham your father; do not be afraid for I am with you. I will bless you and favour you, and multiply your descendants, for my servant Abraham”. The favour of God is a blessing that speaks volumes when released upon an individual. Father Abraham was blessed by God’s favour and all his children by blood and faith are partakers of this glorious blessing. God’s love releases favour on those with a submissive and meek hearts.  Isaac was blessed by God with favour and the whole land had no choice but to bless him because a spiritual magnet was placed upon him. Everyone around him knew this because the glory of God was upon him. Luke 2vs52 – the way Christ choose to live brought about the favour of God upon him. “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and man”. Notice his increase came from God first before men

TRUE REPENTANCE

JULY 29TH – CAPSULE 29  TOPIC: TRUE REPENTANCE  BIBLE TEXT:  JONAH 3VS10 – And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. (Study Jonah 3vs1-10) True repentance is what God expects from us when we sin against Him. The city of Nineveh was filled with wickedness and the stench of their sins and deeds reached the Lord and He was displeased with them. So the Lord sent prophet Jonah to preach true repentance and judgements which he did though after God dealt with him.  God’s love and mercy speaks over mankind and that’s why God sends his prophets, apostles, pastors, evangelist and teachers out to them that sit in darkness. When the word of God came to their hearing, and reached the king of Nineveh, he took actions immediately and was very remorseful and proclaimed a fast and supplication and a message of repentance unto his people. He told them to turn away from evil deed

IMPATIENCE ( A SPIRITUAL WASTER)

JULY 28th – CAPSULE 28 TOPIC: IMPATIENCE ( A SPIRITUAL WASTER)  BIBLE TEXT: LUKE 15vs12-13 – And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. A prodigal act is a wasteful spirit which comes to challenge the fruit of patience in the life of a believer. Impatience offers you alternatives to divert you from the course of the spirit and from your progress and maturity in the things of God. The younger son of the man was enticed by the spirit of impatience after showing him all the wealth and things he could get from his father’s possession.  The young man lacked patience and walked in the deceit of impatience and requested for what he could not control or handle at the time of request. Because it was not time for his manifestation. And

DILIGENT

JULY 27th – CAPSULE 27 TOPIC: DILIGENT BIBLE TEXT: Proverbs 22 vs 29 – seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Psalm 119 vs 4 – Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. A certain man lived on this earth with great zeal, he was hardworking and focused as he went about his Father’s business and his testimony was witnessed in Acts 10 vs 38 and we still witness his works today in our lives because of his diligence and commitment to the mandate of God given to him. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Jesus Christ is a diligent Son of the Father and his reward is so great that he is seated with the King of the Heavens and the earth. Are you diligent in that area God has placed you? Do you keep the rules and principles of the Father? Joseph the son of Jacob (Israel)

THE IMPORTANCE OF FELLOWSHIP

JULY 26th – CAPSULE 26 TOPIC: THE IMPORTANCE OF FELLOWSHIP BIBLE TEXT: Psalm 133:1 KJV - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Fellowship is a spiritual communion shared with a divine being. How glorious it is when we gather in the name of the LORD. As believers, we must always come together in unity to worship the Lord our God. After the ascension of Christ, the apostles brought about the teachings of love and unison amongst the church.  Acts 2:46-47 KJV - And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, [47] Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. This is the way of the church introduced by the Holy Spirit, that we should not forget the gathering of the brethren. Hebrews 10 vs 25a – Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves… It is pleasant and good

THE SOUL THAT DIES

JULY 25th - CAPSULE 25 TOPIC: THE SOUL THAT DIES BIBLE TEXT: Ezekiel 18:4 KJV - Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. It is the LORD God Almighty that owns all souls as revealed in our anchor scripture. The devil never created any soul nor will he ever have a chance to do so. All Satan goes about doing is to steal, kill, and destroy every chance a believer has of gaining eternal life. God has said, all souls are mine! Every soul from the Genesis belongs to Him. Therefore let us avoid sin by living a righteous life. God’s judgement is firm and His principles are true and unchanging. When you have the fear of God you keep yourself away from sin. Know this, that God hates sin and every form of iniquity. Romans 6vs23a – For the wages of sin is death. Sin has only one payment system to bring in both physical and spiritual death to anyone involved in it.  Is there a soul that can die? Yes t

WHAT LOVE IS….

JULY 24th - CAPSULE 24 TOPIC: WHAT LOVE IS…. BIBLE TEXT: 1Corinthians 13 vs. 1-13 The nature of our Heavenly Father is love and we can see it clearly in His Word and by the Holy Ghost today. For God is love. What then is the love of God? It is an unconditional love called Agape. The Love of God is true, and best described by 1Corinthians 13. Apostle Paul received this revelation to pass on to the church, for us to walk in and follow. The love of God is the reason we have salvation today. John 3:16 KJV - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Love is a saving spirit of the LORD full of mighty deeds. Love endures with patience and serenity, that’s why God waits for us to be reconciled with Him despite our prodigal actions. It is not jealous or envious of anyone’s achievements or promotions. It does not boast or stains itself with prideful things. It is not rude not arrogant,

FORNICATION (SPIRITUAL SIN)

JULY 23rd - CAPSULE 23 TOPIC: FORNICATION (SPIRITUAL SIN) BIBLE TEXT: Ezekiel 16:26 KJV - Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger. Spiritual things govern the physical environment, so we must be sensitive and attentive to the things of God. Spiritual fornication is a sin that provokes God the Father to anger. This act of fornication is when a believer, saved and baptized in the ways of the LORD goes out of the camp to seek help from idols and strange spirits and also to commit the sin of sexual immorality. We have the LORD our God, Jesus Christ and Holy Ghost and yet some of God's children who are already redeemed by the Blood of Lamb, still go out to fornicate with the devil his foul spirits. Our fellowship with God is pure and righteous, which can be likened to the relationship of a husband and wife. No man or woman will share their spouse with another man and stil

ADOPTION

JULY 22nd  - CAPSULE 22 TOPIC: ADOPTION BIBLE TEXT: Romans 8:15 KJV - For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Ephesians 1:5-6 KJV - Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, [6] To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Rejoice beloved brethren for the gift of Christ and the Holy Ghost. For at one time, we were dead in sin and trespasses, when we walked and lived according to the standards and doctrine of this world. Some were born into homes where idols were served and some into initiations of demonic roots and others fell by ignorance. Some were children of wrath, anger and disobedience with rebellion because of the Devil, the prince of the power of the air, who made us fulfill his wicked desires and polluted and defiled our hearts. B

CONCENTRATE ON YOUR GOAL

JULY 21st  - CAPSULE 21 TOPIC: CONCENTRATE ON YOUR GOAL BIBLE TEXT: LUKE 9 vs. 62 – And Jesus said to him, no man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God. As children of God, we are instructed by the Word of God, to follow the narrow path and to do the will of God. We must concentrate on our goal, which is to make Heaven. We were also instructed in Luke 9 vs. 60b – go thou and preach the Kingdom of God. Apostle Paul was an excellent example of one who concentrated on his goal and he gave this glorious testimony to the church to encourage and to increase our faith in God. That we can also finish well, if only we concentrate on our goal. 2Timothy 4 vs. 7 Paul said, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course (my tasks and reached my goal), I have kept the faith (I remained focus until the end, holding unto the Word of God). Jesus Christ was and is about His Father’s business, with much zeal, and He expects us as children

ETERNAL LIFE

JULY 20TH – CAPSULE 20  TOPIC: ETERNAL LIFE  BIBLE TEXT: Romans 6 vs 23 – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The gift of God to man is eternal life through one person, Jesus Christ the Son of God. In the beginning God created man in His own image and likeness; male and female He created them. God never intended or wished for man to die. NO! It was the devil, satan that brought upon mankind death through sin. Looking through the book of Genesis. The word of God shows to us men who lived for almost 1000 years here on the same earth that people hardly make it to age 200. Sickness and diseases or death by violence or circumstances of life would have taken them away. For this reason God gave us a solution for us to receive that original plan of living an eternal life which was the original purpose of creating mankind in His own image and likeness. Knowing this let us run to Jesus Christ and accept Him as our Lord an

FORGIVENESS [THE GOD KIND]

JULY 19TH – CAPSULE 19  TOPIC: FORGIVENESS [THE GOD KIND]  BIBLE TEXT: ISAIAH 43 VS 25 – I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember your sins. When God forgives your sin and transgression or trespasses, He also forgets it for His own reasons. What a marvelous God, whose heart is so large and forgiving. Everyday sin drives man away from the Lord but the mercies of the Lord and His grace opens the way of God’s kindness and forgiveness. Right on the cross, Jesus forgave a sinner who didn’t deserve heaven, a sinner whose end was already written in  the book of death and hell was awaiting his arrival to unleash diverse kinds of torments on him. And right on the cross, he looked at Christ and believed in the kingdom of God that Christ has been preaching and Jesus forgave his sins instantly and hell was no longer his destination because of the forgiveness he found by embracing the true gospel. [Luke 23 vs 39-34] It’s not too  la

TEACHER

JULY 18TH – CAPSULE 18  TOPIC: TEACHER  BIBLE TEXT: JOHN 3 VS 2 – The same came to Jesus by  night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know thou art a teacher come from God; for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you this morning. Seeing that we have the five fold ministries that was given to the church by Christ. Let us look at the teaching ministry of our Lord. Jesus was a perfect teacher as a man when he lived amongst men in the days of his three and half years ministry. He lived without sin and taught us how to also live without sin. He taught on what a spiritual man should feed on, on this he said, “man (spirit, soul and body) shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” [Matthew 4 vs 4] He was and is a doer of the word of God with practical and spiritual proofs – of all that Jesus began to do and teach – [Acts 1 vs 1]. He spoke the truth and lived a tr

DON'T BE AFRAID

JULY 17TH – CAPSULE 17  TOPIC: DON'T BE AFRAID  BIBLE TEXT: II TIMOTHY 1 VS 7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but the spirit of power, and the spirit of love, and of a sound mind. Dearly beloved in Christ, this verse is definitely for us to hold on to, and to activate all that God has given unto us in Christ Jesus. The ministry of Christ and the Apostles spoke of boldness, might and of love  everywhere they went as directed by the Holy Spirit. Let us also who are in Christ walk in this way, so we can fulfil all that God has instructed us to do by the spirit of Christ. Don’t be afraid as a child of God. He has  promised, that He will be with us and be in us forever. John 14 vs 16-17. Don’t live in fear, it is very dangerous to do such because the devil uses fear to operate in his agenda to steal, kill and to destroy. Through fear, you can be easily manipulated and tormented. It can also lead to manifestation of that sole thing you gave birth t

ARE YOU READY?

JULY 16TH – CAPSULE 16  TOPIC: ARE YOU READY?  BIBLE TEXT: LUKE 10 VS 21 – Then Jesus beholding him  loved him, and said unto him, “one thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in  heaven; and come, take up thy cross and follow me. After your salvation, are you ready to obey the commandments and instructions of Christ Jesus through the leading of the Holy Spirit? Salvation gives an entrance into the kingdom of God, and following the lamb of God shows that we are  ready. The anchor scripture reveals the process guiding us into God’s kingdom through Christ. Many believers today are tied down spiritually because of their ambitions, careers, education, relationship and pursuits of life, that some have neglected the word of God to take up the cross and follow Jesus. God has created many channels on earth, to pass round His precepts but many Christians are reluctant and unwilling to do what God has said, but st

AN OPEN MIND

JULY 15TH – CAPSULE 15  TOPIC: AN OPEN MIND  BIBLE TEXT: JAMES 3 VS 17 – But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. The wisdom God gives is not contentions nor argumentative. It will make you humble enough to listen to the counsel of other’s. God will share His wisdom through them as well. The real test of knowing whether the wisdom of God is present in the life of a child of God in the fruits he produces when acting on the love from within.  If the fruits are true, righteous and brings praise then it's from God but when the results are related to the works of the flesh then such wisdom is beneath and not above. Daniel possessed this kind of mind, and was open towards his fellow Hebrew brothers; Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego. He didn’t do all the mighty works by himself, neither was he partial. His heart was pure and he sought to accommodate

NO RESERVE, NO RETREAT, NO REGRETS

JULY 14TH -CAPSULE 14  TOPIC: NO RESERVE, NO RETREAT, NO REGRETS BIBLE TEXT: MATTHEW 25 VS 21 – Well done thou good and faithful servant.   Bill Bordeu of the famous Borden Milk Family in America, turned his back on fame and fortune and went to China as a missionary. His friends in America thought he had taken leave of his senses by walking away from a life of comfort and riches. He had been missing for days when they found his body in a tent. Under his thumb, was a note found that read, “No reserve! No retreat! No regrets!” Think of it child of God, “No reserve” meaning holding nothing back. “No retreat” meaning never looking back or turning back from what God called you to do. “NO regrets” that is “a workman that needeth not to be  ashamed” [2 Timothy 2vs15]. Today, the spotlight is on commitment. When you look at yourself, what you see may not be a very nice picture, but be honest with yourself…..painfully honest. Ask God to help you rebuild your altar, and then place yo

ROBBING GOD

JULY 13TH – CAPSULE 13 TOPIC: ROBBING GOD  BIBLE TEXT: Malachi 3vs8-9 – Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. If He already owns everything, how could I be robbing Him? You ask First, you are robbing Him of the joy of blessing you. God says He wants to open the windows of heaven and “pour out a blessing so great you don’t have room enough to take it in” [Malachi 3vs10].  As a father, I am thrilled when my children are blessed – don’t rob God of that Joy! Next, you robbing Him of the honour of having first place in your life. Often the reason we don’t tithe is that we have nothing left over. How dishonouring to God! He doesn’t want your left overs, He wants your first fruit. Listen: “Honour the Lord by giving Him the first part of all your income" [Proverbs 3vs9]. Finally, you are robbing His house of resources….. [Malachi 3vs10]. In the old testament, believers gave over twenty-five percent of their

WHAT TIME IS IT?

JULY 12TH – CAPSULE 12  TOPIC: WHAT TIME IS IT? BIBLE TEXT: JOHN 9 Vs. 4 – I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day; the name night cometh, when no man work. When you are a child, time is timeless. As you grow older, it begins to fly. In later years, it’s a gift to used wisely. When He was thirty-three, the Master said, “I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do” [John 17vs4]. At 70, Paul, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course “ [2 Timothy 4vs7].  Let me ask you a question: have you found the will of God for your life yet? There isn’t a more important question. If you want to know what His will is, ask Him. As you wait in His presence, I promise He will reveal it to you. [James 1vs5]  The next question is: are you doing the will of God? When your life ends will you be able to say “I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do” is your life making a difference? Will there be souls in heaven because you witnessed, prayed, and

DON’T TAKE THE BAIT

11TH – CAPSULE 11 TOPIC: DON’T TAKE THE BAIT  BIBLE TEXT: LUKE 17VS1 – It is impossible that no offences should come. [NKJV]  Jesus said it is impossible to live on this world and not be offended. So why then are you so shocked when it happens to us? The Greek word for “offence” literally means a trap with bait on it, and when we take offense, we have taken the devils bait, and we finish up in a trap. We become self-absorbed and resentful. We lose our joy and can’t function properly. So what can you do? Jesus told the end-age believer’s to, “anoint your eyes with eye salves, that ye may see well” [Revelation 3vs18], see that? See your own attitude in all of this! You will only repent when you see the condition of heart, and stop blaming other people. The wonderful things is, when the spirit of God shows you your sins, you will feel conviction, and not condemnation. When He does, don’t carry that offence another step. Insight: Forgive the offspring party, as God has forgiven

JUST BE YOURSELF

JULY 10TH – CAPSULE 10  TOPIC: JUST BE YOURSELF   BIBLE TEXT: John 3vs27 – A man must be content to receive the gift which is given to him from heaven. [AMP]  Have you ever considered how much “they” control your life! How often have you said “well, you know what they say?” You see, “they” set the standard, and we wear it…. drive it…… or do it! And while that may be fine in some area, its not when it comes to your life’s direction. Jesus said, “if the son…..[makes you free men]….. you are…….unquestionably free” [John 8:36 AMP].  That means:  (1). Free from the pressure of other’s expectations (2). Free to be who God has called you to be;  (3). Free to look to Him for answers instead of running to other people. A man must be content to receive the gift which is given from heaven. A man because of his background he struggled with insecurity. He was competitive, he kept comparing himself to others, he was jealous of their possessions, abilities, and accomplishments, he tried

THINKING GOD’S WAY

JULY 9TH – CAPSULE 9  TOPIC: THINKING GOD’S WAY  BIBLE TEXT: EPHESIANS 4VS23 – Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. How you process information and arrive at conclusions must always be subject to the will of God. Listen, “……….be made new in the attitude of your minds”. When you first start thinking Gods way, it will feel strange to you. It may even feel like a “put-on”. But it’s not. It works like this: you have to  (a). Practice being nice until you automatically become nice.  (b). Practice going to church on Sunday, until going anywhere else seems strange to you.  (c). Practice giving to God until it be comes as natural to you as shopping at the mall.  (d). Practice speaking the truth until even the smallest lie tastes bad in your mouth.  (e). Practice speaking kindness until every cynical, negative word is purged from your vocabulary. Its all a matter of practice! But you ask, “ isn’t that hypocritical – feeling one way and speaking another?” No, its re-training yourse

TAKING POSSESSION

JULY 8TH – CAPSULE 8  TOPIC: TAKING POSSESSION!  BIBLE TEXT: JOSHUA 18 Vs. 3 – How long will you wait before you begin to take possession. [NIV]  God promised the children of Israel the land, and Joshua led them right to it. Yet seven of The tribes of Israel had done nothing to possess it. Is that where you are at today? Just because you know your destiny, and understand what God’s promised you, doesn’t mean you will ever fulfill it!  The old testament Saul might have been one of the Israel’s greatest Kings, but instead David took his place. Saul died tragically on Mount Gilboa, with the word captioning his life, ‘I have played the fool and have erred exceedingly’ [1 Samuel 26vs21]. But what a difference we find in the new testament Saul, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course” [2 Timothy 4vs7]. Your destiny is determined by your decisions; so seek God and consult His word before you make them.  Perhaps you are saying “But I am too busy”. Doing what? God do

AMBASSADORS

JULY 7TH – CAPSULE 7  TOPIC: AMBASSADORS  BIBLE TEXT: 2 Corinthians 5vs20 – We are ambassadors for Christ. An ambassador holds a position of great honour and responsibility. You have to know the mind of your king and represent his interests only. Someone who gives his own opinions would never qualify. Often kings would recall ambassadors after only two or three years. They were afraid that if they stayed in another country too long, they would become more concerned with that country’s interest than those of their own king. We too must guard our hearts from becoming more attuned to the interests of this present age than to those of Christ. Paul writes, “Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world” (2 Timothy 4vs10). It can happen easily; Demas was seduced by things, and lured away by the appeal of the world. The Lord doesn’t change His ambassadors every few years, you have a lifetime commission. Therefore, you must be careful to keep your mind and heart set on Go

LIKE A TREE

JULY 6TH – CAPSULE 6  TOPIC: LIKE A TREE BIBLE TEXT: Psalm 1vs3 – He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of waters……..whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The Bible likens the prosperous man to a tree because:  (1) Its stable: That’s because it draws continually from underground  streams. You want to succeed learn how to draw daily on the indwelling power of God’s Spirit. Not all of the answers are in heaven, some are within you waiting for expression. (2) It’s productive : Note the words, “whatsoever he doeth shall prosper” (Psalm 1vs3). You say, “But I am praying about it”. That’s good; prayer releases the favour of God – but work releases the force of men! When one is in harmony with the other, you are unstoppable. Don’t just pray for a better relationship with your husband or wife – give them more attention. Don’t ask for better credit;  or more money – set a budget and start living within your means. (3) It’s connected: Without additional sources to draw from, a

THE REJECTION TEST

JULY 5TH – CAPSULE 5 TOPIC: THE REJECTION TEST BIBLE TEXT: John 1vs11 – He came unto his own, and his own rejected him. How many of us would spend our last night with someone if we knew they were going to betray us the next day? Jesus did. He was faithful even when others were not. There is no greater opportunity for you to grow in Christian love, than when you are rejected and abused. Jesus asked the father to forgive those who crucified Him. Amazing!  How you handle rejection reveals whether you have truly died to self and to the  world. It’s impossible for a dead man to feel rejection. On the other hand, being rejected without being offended, is one of the greatest demonstrations of spiritual maturity – its being Christ-like.  In the old testament, a priest was not allowed to minister if he had scabs, see Leviticus 21:20. A scab is an unleashed wound. And when you have an unhealed  wound, you are touchy, you can’t function the way God wants you to, and it will show up in

HIS TOUCH AND HIS WORD

JULY 4TH – CAPSULE 4 TOPIC: HIS TOUCH AND HIS WORD BIBLE TEXT: Daniel 10 vs 18 – 19 (Paraphrase) – He touched me and gave me strength ……. What you need today is a touch and a word from God, especially if you are battling sin, sickness or depression. Daniel sought God with all his heart for an answer, but for three weeks he got nowhere. If that’s where you are today, don’t give up. Things are happening that you don’t know and you don’t fully understand yet. There is a battle going on, and when it is over you are going to come out a winner. Listen to what the Angel of the Lord told Daniel: “From the first day you set your heart before God, your words were heard. But for twenty-one days, an evil spirit blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the top officers of the heavenly army, came to help me so that I was able to breakthrough” (Daniel 20 vs 12-13, paraphrase). When God assigns, Satan attacks. Expect it! It may come from a source you least expect, even a family member. Remembe

TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE

JULY 3RD – CAPSULE 3 TOPIC: TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE BIBLE TEXT: Acts 5 vs 29 - ….We ought to obey God rather than men. No matter how timid you are, don’t allow anybody to dominate or direct your life. Get back into the driver's seat and take the wheel, for only you know where God has told you to go! Too often our actions are dictated not by a sense of purpose, but by a need to please. We care so much about what certain people think, that with every step we take, we are looking over our shoulder to see whether they are smiling or frowning. Hear this clearly: your first responsibility is to please God, not people. In the end, you are accountable to Him alone (Romans 14 vs 12). Listen, “You shall have no other gods before me” ( Exodus 20 vs 2 NIV). But you say, “I don’t worship idols” You do when you dedicate your life to impressing people, instead of obeying God. But who am I to assert myself? You ask. Who are you not to? As a Child of God, your first responsibility is

LEARNING TO PRAY

JULY 2ND – CAPSULE 2 TOPIC: LEARNING TO PRAY BIBLE TEXT: Matthew 6 vs 9 – After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father ……. When you say, “Our Father” you are acknowledging you belong to God's family, and that includes all the rights and privileges that go with it. Have you learnt what they are yet? One of the first words most babies said is, “daddy”. Knowing your father, helps you understand your own identity as a son or daughter. I need to know who my father is, and how He feels about me. If you have an abusive father, or one who wasn’t there when you needed him, it will take you sometime to believe, and act on the fact that God is your loving Heavenly Father, and you can come to Him anytime, day or night, and He will be there for you. Prayer is just talking with the one you call ‘Father’. So, why don’t we spend more time talking to Him? One reason is, that while His love draws me – His Holiness intimidates me. When Isaiah saw the Lord, he cried, “Woe is me for I a

WHO ARE YOU LIVING FOR?

JULY 1ST – CAPSULE 1 TOPIC: WHO ARE YOU LIVING FOR? BIBLE TEXT: 2 Corinthians 5 vs 15 (NIV) – Those who live should live no longer for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again. The fire on the altar of incense was lit from the fire on the altar of sacrifice. It takes sacrifice to pray. We must give up our self-life. The Lord is not after a few minutes of our day – He wants our every thought taken captive and brought into obedience to Him. The apostle Paul is one of the great examples. He died to self daily.
